So he had to bend to Cotto for a shot he's a mandatory to? Really, you are going to sit here and defend that sht* You of all people? How mighty hypocritical of you bruh. Did he or did he not get the better deal they were expected to get in the end? Rather than a flat fee "Oscar" of all people floated around? I love how this guy has to bend over for everyone but nobody should bend over for him. Again, expectations to one side are fine, expectations for this guy are him ducking or avoiding. Got it.FACT: Golovkin could have fought Cotto AND Canelo..... and he could have done it LONG before now
Cotto had one simple request, a request that was no problem for any other middleweight
Golovkin inexplicably refused to negotiate on weight with Cotto, removing himself from consideration in the process..... (and Golovkin was WELL-AWARE that refusing a catchweight would kill that fight, so stop making silly excuses for the ******)..... then Mr "anyone from 154-168" publicly stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up LOOOOL
oh, and he happily offered Gabe Rosado a catchweight
and Canelo was sitting there at 155, Golovkin would likely have gotten that fight (and Cotto) at 157..... just like Geale did
oh, and then Golovkin refused an 8-figure offer to fight Canelo LOL
GTFOH with that worn-out garbage
oh..... and Golovkin had done nothing to step ahead of Martinez's money fight with Cotto, and he still hasn't..... even today Cotto would get that fight before GolovkinComment

Spoken exactly how I expected, you trian for your opponent you watch tape on your opponent you practice you strategy based on your opponent. Preparation means nothing to you because you aren't getting what you want. That's fine, i've come to accept your view on things when they dont' fit your personal expectations. As i've said before, he didn't create this situation, he's in the middle of dealing with it. He can fight whom he wants so long as he fights his mandatories or fights BJS in the fall which is all we can ask of him right now. Boxers are ritualistic in how they do things, as are practically all athletes, you can't grasp that understanding...well hell there is always UFC for you.
good god
1) Gennady had 400 amateur fights and is now a veteran pro LOL
2) Derev is a rookie
3) what the fk are you on..... they could have selected Derev weeks ago, giving them PLENTY of time to make the SLIGHT adjustment required for that particular opponent
4) Sanchez stated that they do nothing different for a specific opponent..... he said he gets his fighters ready for "anyone"
5) insinuating that Golovkin would somehow be unprepared is just silly foolishness

So when canelo vacated the belt when ggg was his mandatory to avoid a purse bid and the 55-45 split, that was canelo ducking? Or was it canelo doing what anyone else with a brain would do to put him in a better situation to get a better deal? Which one was it?So he had to bend to Cotto for a shot he's a mandatory to? Really, you are going to sit here and defend that sht* You of all people? How mighty hypocritical of you bruh. Did he or did he not get the better deal they were expected to get in the end? oh fk yes
1) Cotto was a SUPERSTAR
2) Cotto weighed 153
3) that catchweight was no problem for everyone else, and should have been no problem for Mr "anyone from 154-168" either..... especially considering the fact that AFTER refusing to consider a catchweight for Cotto, Golovkin publicly stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but nobody will step up
oh, also..... Golovkin was more than happy to defend his title against Rosado at catchweight, so nobody gives a fk about your dented integrity..... including Golovkin
4) plenty of fighters did what they had to do in order to make a meaningful fight (Hopkins, for example)..... but Golovkin has never made one single concession EVER!!
and that is despite being widely criticized for his poor resume and ****ty opponent selection lol
fk yea will I argue that he avoided Cotto like the plague
he also accepted step-aside money
once again..... Golovkin had done nothing to step ahead of Martinez's money fight with Cotto, and he still hasn't..... even today Cotto would get that fight before GolovkinComment

Never said Canelo was ducking Golovkin. Said the three subsequent fighters held the wbc belt hostage for their own reasons. Is that clearer for you? Canelo was always going to fight Golovkin because if he didn't he wouldn't have been allowed to live it down.Comment
