Pretty simple: it was supppse to be on ppv - so they offered him X amount. Once it was pulled from PPV, the HBO budget wasnt the same, so they couldnt offer him the same. It's no one's fault.

This mess is on GGG not HBO from day 1 when the canelo fight was in jeopardy the only fighters they were considering were bums and bad fights turning down better opponents who raised their hand willing to fighr. It was trash fights when they were keeping it on PPV which meant HBO was never supposed to pay for it. Then when they realized GGG would get embarrassed with a half empty arena and a PPV flop with the guys they were planning. So they asked HBO to pay for bum fights and get it out of vegas with 3 weeks notice so you get a shyt budget. You move the date or fight better opponent and HBO would of given them more money or you could of still made it ppv.

Folks trying to act like they are making a shyt fight because the budget is low. No its opposite they were looking for shyt opponents and then asked for a budget for a horrible fight. LMAO

I don't understand wtf they are still trying to keep that May 5th date it's waaaaaayyyyy to late in the game anyway to put a decent fight together. Go back to the drawing board and schedule a real fight. I believe they're trying to schedule GGG with a soft touch up fight so GGG won't be waiting on the shelf until the rematch with Canelo in September.
