Why does Loeffler care how much Sergey gets paid?

This is the most bizarre explanation I've ever seen from a promoter to avoid a mandatory. He's saying that the fight can be much bigger and both ggg and sergey can get paid more. Well you can say that about any mandatory and no one knows who sergey is. Why does loeffler care about paying sergey more money?

It's not that. It's the fact that his guy won't be able to get paid as much. If HBO has a budget of let's say $1.25m to split between the two - and Gennady has been fighting for no less than $1.5 since 2014 - you get why there's an issue?

Explain what the difference is if he fights vanes, munguia, or spike. How would he get paid less?

those guys will accept less. they are only offering a tiny amount because the pot is small and dereychenkos team knows they would be able to get more via purse bid so it would be silly to accept such a low amount when they have the fight in the future if they just wait.

Since the fight was pulled from ppv I think HBO is only offering 1.25 million or so...They need to just scrap the entire card IMO but hey business is business

Has loeffler reached out to dibella to see what sergey would accept? Or is he just assuming sergey won't accept $750k? Sergey said he won't accept no step aside deal from ggg's team. Dosen't sound like a guy who would want an enormous amount of money.

Don’t understand what you don’t understand. Obvious, or should be, that the fight can’t happen if there isn’t enough money to pay everyone.
