You missed an important point. Ward also chased after Frank buglioni, so he was still willing to fight. He never actually wanted to retire he just wanted to.avoid tough fights. Even the most hardcore ward fans can't argue why he went after buglioni

he has the chance to fight either his ibf mando on cinco de mayo or fight for the last belt vs bjs in june... if he chooses to fight a bum in order to get the canelo payday that will be a business decision, it wont be about being active...

I remember Cotto defending his pretend middleweight title that he won at a 159 pound catchweight against Geale at a 157 pound catchweight. Geale had already been KOed by GGG in a few rounds not long ago. GGG would have been a bigger money fight for Cotto than Geale. That wasn't a business decision by Cotto, It was a duck. A decision to fight a guy he knew he could beat rather than fight a guy he knew he could not beat. Cotto was never going to fight GGG. at any time for any money. He didn't want to get knocked out. You didn't need to be a GGG fan to see that.

Or when instead of facing Dirrell he chose to just not. Dirrell was the WBC mandatory.
I bet you were all really upset at Ward taking on non-mandatory Edwin Rodriguez instead.
                  Just a reminder.
what about not fighting stevenson after the dawson fight instead opting to fight rodriguez. the 2 fight deal was offered to ward by stevensons team .

Did he? Hearn said Buglioni turned down a Ward fight, he didn't say Ward made an offer. Hearn was probably the one trying to put it together, because that would have been a UK fight. Keep spinning your lies though.

That's a half truth and a lie in that statement. His choices are to fight an extremely dangerous IBF mando with 1 month notice for absolute peanuts, and BJS in June is not an option since he already has a fight signed. BJS is a possibility for Sept, assuming he doesn't price himself out.

And let's make one thing crystal clear here. Until about a week ago, 99% of clowns on here had no idea who Derevyanchenko was. The only reason they started hankering for that fight is because it gives them a chance to call Golovkin a ducker. If Golovkin beats Derevyanchenko, he'll become just another mandatory bum that he beat.

I know Derevyanchenko is the real deal. I've been pushing for him to fight Golovkin for more than a year, and think he's possibly the most dangerous MW out there today. To the rest of these fools, he's a convenient tool they can use to hate on Golovkin.

You're a good poster, don't become one of those clowns.
