Where is the "more than that" money coming from? You certainly aren't suggesting to pay a 3 title holding, undefeated champ that has sold out Madison Square twice, and fills every other arena he steps in to almost max capacity, and hasn't made less than $1.5m in a fight since 2014 less than a million are you?

the clown Loeffler and Vanes both basically confirmed yesterday what I always felt. The money is VERY low. It also explains why Spike turned down their deal. He agreed to all the terms weeks ago when the fight was scheduled to be at the MGM Vegas on PPV. Once Loeffler realized that GGG wouldn't be able to sell at the MGM and to avoid a disaster where GGG is in a half empty arena they moved the fight out of vegas and off PPV to avoid a PPV flop. Then begged HBO to finance it but HBO isn't ****** and is only giving them a limited budget. That means you are left with two options

1. BOTH fighters take a equal discount
2. You give almost the entire budget to GGG and give literally nothing to the opponent

They are being cheap GGG doesn't want to take much of a paycut to make a better fight. Vanes himself was asked about the money and said I don't care about money if I win I'll get money after. Loeffler admitting they don't have money to offer as an excuse for ducking the IBF mandatory but how do you know what they are willing to fight for when you refuse to even negotiate a fight with Lou?

Using Loeffler’s logic I’m not sure anyone would be “suitable” for him or more importantly HBO. Money and only money is the driving force in any of these fights. K2 should be forced to have Golovkin fight the mandatory opponent if that mandatory is willing and able to fight. Bad business this boxing business.

The only way Sergei D. gets paid what he wants to get paid is if GGG took less money. Sergei D. isn't good enough nor has he done enough to justify that.

a paycut from him moving a non Canelo PPV on short notice from PPV to HBO dummy. Nobody is talking about the Canelo money that is retirement money he is not seeing. But they were planning on having more money to play with when they were continuing on PPV. Once Loeffler changed his mind on the whole "fans don't cancel your vegas hotel and flight reservations" talk and decided to make the fight on HBO not PPV the fight budget dropped and they refuse to use much of that new budget on their opponent. Which is why they can't even afford a bum like Spike LMAO

They offered Spike more money and he agreed to all those terms weeks ago. then they switched the fight from PPV to HBO and Spike's offer dropped. Loeffler even admitted to this using it as an excuse saying we can't pay for our mandatory we don't have the money.

If GGG wants more money how about you make a better quality fight or move your fight date? You choose to do neither and expect opponents to fight basically for free? HBO would give more money or you could sell it on PPV if it were a better fight but he don't want to take a risky fight or move the date.

BINGO. At first I was putting most of the blame on Loeffler just being a complete amateur clown. But listening to some of the comments yesterday especially from GGG it seems obvious Loeffler knows this is a terrible idea and wants to move the date but GGG is the stubborn idiot here. He really thinks that somehow him fighting on Cinco De Mayo even if it's a disaster against a 154lber that nobody cares about will make him a superstar. LMAO

GGG is the one who is fixated on this date. A date that has NO SIGNFICANCE to a kazaphukstan fighter. He's not mexican, he's not fighting a mexican, he's never fought on cinco de mayo, he's not fighting in vegas and he's not fighting on PPV. At this point somebody should explain to this idiot that this is hurting his image especially if it costs him the IBF belt in the process. There is no difference to a fighter like GGG fighting on May 5 then say June 15. Move the date get a real opponent more time to promote it and you can please your fans with a better fight. Everybody wins. Loeffer is over his head but he isn't an idiot. Unless this isn't about belts or fans and loeffler is just doing what GGG tells him the date should be canceled. This is a bad look for GGG and somebody needs to explain that to him.

He wants to fight on that date because his training was geared with making him at his fighting peak on that date. Let him do what he wants. He's not the one who killed the fight with Canelo.
