I'm tired of there alwaaaays being some excuse for Andrade though. He blatantly turns down his shot at Charlo in 2014. Get's stripped of his belt in 2015 for inactivity. Decides to leave the country and fight Culcay for peanuts, for $106,000 to become regular WBA champ. Leaves the division for no reason - Leaves the 54 division after fightin' so hard to be Lara's mandatory. Decides to sign an exclusive HBO only 3 fight deal.

There's just always something with him and his team. There's a reason his biggest fights at 54 are Vanes and Culcay.

There is a COMPLETE difference between fighters like Andrade and fighters like, let's just say Austin Trout. Trout never makes excuses, never turns down fights, always stays ready. He fought probably the toughest 3 fights in a row ever (Cotto, Canelo, Lara - back to back to back). Fights his way back into contention, take on Jermall and in a very competitive fight. Takes 17 months off and immediately takes on Hurd (no excuses, no tune-ups). And is about to take on Jermell in 2 months. The dude and his team have NOOOOO excuses and are alwaaaays willing.
I greatly admire Austin Trout. But I think if he would take it a little easier on himself he would have more success and a more sustained career.

I don't think there's any shame in fighting the best. Challenging yourself. Always in the mix. Always getting title shots. But ultimately losing to the best. None of the losses he has had were against weak opposition or due to a lack of effort. Only fight he got blown away in was the Lara fight. Every other fight was competitive as hell.

He's pretty successful to me. Just haven't had the big wins over all the top opposition. It happens.

But then there's Andrade. LOL. Thing is, Andrade is really good. Has size. Length. Agile. Can thump. He and his team need to sit down and realllly map out a plan that says "look, no matter what, we are going for this or that mandatory, no matter what it takes"

how do you think we feel about Golovkin ?

you have a better chance of finding a 4-leaf clover than watching Golovkin put himself in harms way

yet golovkin fought the top 3 guys in his division(check the rankings for 2017) so your feelings are based purely on delusion. if he doesn't fight the 5th best guy in the division on 3 weeks notice he's a ducker after doing all that hmmm ok pretty high standards and ones you would never hold anyone else to. credibility? none

Don't even bother. GGG would have Sergio Martinez, Sturm, Peter Quillin, and Cotto on his resume had they not avoided him. He's definitely not a career long ducking type of act.

Some people want to compare him to Andrade though. Andrade blatantly turned down Charlo. Blatantly turned down Sergiy. Got stripped of his belt for inactivity. Fought Culcay for $106k in Germany so he could have the WBA regular belt, putting him in line for a shot at Lara. Then immediately gave that up for no reason to move to middleweight. He's also only known for fighting Culcay and Vanes. All because of his own doing. No one else to point the finger at but himself.

                  It's a shame because he's a talented individual.

he had to be dragged kicking and screaming to the Jacobs fight lol, and Canelo was his cash-out

                      puh-leeze
