If the money is there and they can fight Derevyanchenko but don't then I would probably be indifferent

But Golovkin-Derevyanchenko has never been ordered so I don't know if they actually can.

If it is for refusing to fight Derenvhchyko, then yea, they probably should.

In no particular order, Charlo, Andrade, BSJ, Jacobs, Canelo, and g are all middleweights. All are better than Derenvhchyko. That makes Derenwhatever, at best, the 7th best middleweight. If a champion has no fight scheduled, and isn't willing to fulfill his mandatory, which again, might be the 7th best MW, then, well, isn't that when organizations are supposed to strip champions?

For refusing to fight Derenvhchyko in a reasonable amount of time, sure but this is not that.

well considering ggg had an opponent pull out of a scheduled fight at the last minute...it would kinda be bs of the ibf to strip him for failing to face his mandatory under those circumstances. if they ordered it within a certain timeframe, and ggg failed to live up to it, then fine.

No way. Not with the circumstances of the situation.

His opponent failed a drug test, dropped out of the fight and then you lose one of your titles? Not fair and not gonna happen.

“How would you feel if the IBF stripped GGG?”

That’s what they do all the time, ain’t it?
The alphabet orgs … pay them, you’re a champ.
                Refuse, you’re a nobody.
Their definition of what makes a great athlete.

I'd be pissed. This is much of the reason why we almost never get a unified champion. With 4 main alphabet organizations who never agree on who the top contenders are it's very hard for a champion to fight 4 different mandatory challengers. GGG tries to fight his mandatory challengers and then gets **** from fans who don't think his mandatory challengers are good enough. He is one of the best champions who has avoided no worthy middleweight and fights two or three times a year. The IBF should leave him alone to fight Canelo or Saunders in September and fight the Russian next year. The Russian has only had I believe 12 or 14 fights. He can wait a while. If GGG chooses to fight the Russian this May that would be great but he shouldn't be forced to fight him right away or be stripped..

That's what he gets for stalking Canelo sniffing his ass for a payday. GGG could've been undisputed long ago and made a few defenses. But along came the Ginger and GGG has been obsessed ever since.
