To be honest i just want to see the fight just like those Wilder fans, they didn't care about the numbers then so they don't really care about it now. So no more excuses, no more ducking, no more dodging. They have two good offers now.

Instead of quoting me, you should argue against the OP math, where he said the flat fee is roughly 40%.

      I'm simply agreeing

We'll I think that last point is a real question.

Does Showtime put it on PPV? If they have the main event at 6pm EST, I doubt it. But maybe they can compromise and have it really late UK time. There might be noise issues though.

What either boxer made in past fights isn't that important. This is the big fight that fans want to see and each man is half of that fight. Wilder isn't a ***ing challenger. He is a champion. If AJ won't offer him at least a 65/35 split in AJ's favor of all the available money to pay the boxers then he is pricing himself out. If Wilder gets 12.5 million then AJ probably gets 3 or 4 times that much. You think that's fair because you are bias as hell. I was on AJ's side in this debate until he made that joke of a flat fee offer. Now it looks like he doesn't want to fight Wilder in the UK or anywhere else and this fight might never happen thanks to AJ's refusal to pay Wilder a fair amount.

Can somebody explain this to me?

            Calculations:

            Gate: USD10-12m
            PPV (UK only) 1.5million x £19.95 (30 USD ish) = 45million
            US TV: USD 10million

            International TV: USD2million

            total = 69million

            Sky take 20%
            Eddie takes 20%

            44million left.
They offered Wilder ca 17m so roughly 40% of the fighters purse.

            What's the issue here?

            Go at it gentleman.
Go at it? Flat fees don’t belong in boxing. These are ongoing negotiations so be patient.

              dude joseph parker got 33%!

wilder is not going to take a flat offer with no date, no guarantee that the fight was even next, no venue, and 48 hours to agree to terms that aren't even spelled out! that offer is designed to not make the fight. surely you have to understand that and aren't this naive.

So Wilder can expect to 10x his best payday, but AJ should settle for 0.5x his best payday because past fights don’t mean nothing?

Winning 3 belts, unifying twice, selling out stadiums and going on PPV means nothing because Wilder is fighting

This fight is big because of two things:

                1) AJ
                2) Undisputed title

Wilder as a commodity has limited effect on the size of this fight.

don't trust a word that dude says. he even appears to have switched to canadian dollars for no reason other than to make an offer look bigger

you can't make this stuff up! these guys are legit scared and they don't even have to put on gloves and fight! and they're not going to see a penny of joshua's money. this really is shades of pacquiao - mayweather, these people are completely deluded.
