Should AJ also demand 15 x his best payday?

Why is it that Wilder and his ******ed fans think it's fine for Wilder to ask for 10x+ his best ever payday whereas AJ should settle for 40-50%+ his?

Can somebody explain this to me?

    Calculations:

    Gate: USD10-12m
    PPV (UK only) 1.5million x £19.95 (30 USD ish) = 45million
    US TV: USD 10million

    International TV: USD2million

    total = 69million

    Sky take 20%
    Eddie takes 20%

    44million left.
They offered Wilder ca 17m so roughly 40% of the fighters purse.

    What's the issue here?

    Go at it gentleman.

i think the gate makes more than joshua vs wlad. they priced that fight conservatively while second hand resellers made a killing on up charge. hearn isnt gonna miss out that chance on this fight. i also think SHO will test ppv for this fight considering theyve invested a good portion into these two over the last few years. they dont need mayweather ppv numbers, just solid numbers around 300-400k to make money.

It's ridiculous. People demanding challengers make ridiculous amounts of money, calling 6x the challengers highest payday a low ball. I guess 99% of challengers were lowballed then. All Mayweather/Pacquiao opponents were lowballed. They were making <5 mill while Mayweather/Pacquiao made 20 or 30+.

they got back end money though after their registered purse. hearns offer gives wilder 0% of that. i think if hearn offered the 12.5 with incentives to a % of the live gate and ppv package, it would be a good offer. like im sure parker got the bulk of the new zealand tv money and those regions while also getting a % of sky box office.

I see no problem at all with 40%

40% is what Pacquiao made against Mayweather. Did Canelo get 40% against Mayweather? Did Cotto? Did Bradley get 40% against Pacquiao? Did JMM?

Wilder is so far away from Joshua in drawing power 40% is way too much.

they can also talk the approach where wilder would take any % as long as its flipped in the rematch should he win. that works also.

In all fairness, Wilder was getting 4.5 million to go to Russia to fight Povetkin. So he's being offered 3x more than his highest guaranteed purse.

I think anything upwards of 15 million is more than a fair offer. If they predicted a 55 million fight with Klitchsko how can they go much higher with Wilder who's not close to as big as Vlad in the UK.

Joshua is only asking for 50 million dollars. That's not much because Wilder fans told me this fight will do over 100 million dollars in Vegas. Let's wait for Wilder offer and we can finally see this fight soon

Since all of us have absolutely zero say in the purse split here, it seems like a gargantuan waste of energy to make 200 threads fighting about it.
