Lopez had been positioned to be a star on his way up the ranks and he managed major titles...

A good article on Vargas a very nice guy and a consummate professional in and out of the ring and I look for him to stop the light hitting selca in the late rounds with 4 Kos Rod just won't keep him off ...

It's too bad we never got a Salido rematch, Vargas is a great warrior. Vargas vs Roman is my dream matchup right now, but it ain't gonna happen cuz Roman is gonna get the shot at Berchelt. Vargas vs Johnny Gonzalez could be interesting, or maybe someone like Jason Sosa

Even Jezreel Corrales would be fun

Vargas is always in entertaining fight. If he wins tonight and doesn't suffer any cuts he's in line for a big fight. Early this year there were talks of him fighting Machado. That's a fun fight to make.

It's called boxing. Rod has the wheels to surround Vargas. I see cuts and frustration. Late TKO, Salka.

...hey, wait a minute...I'm sitting here watching the fight, and just realized that both Canelo and Vargas tested positive for clembuterol, and they're both Golden Boy fighters...
