Comments Thread For: Vanes Pushes For Golovkin on May 5: I Know I Can Beat Him!

Junior middleweight contender Vanes Martirosyan (36-3-1, 21 KOs) has no problem stepping in on late notice to face WBC, WBA, IBF, IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs). Golovkin has a scheduled return date of May 5th, likely at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles - but time is quickly running out to stage the event.

I'm all for this. Will be good while it lasts.

Vanes has been inactive but he's stayed in the gym, dude is in fighting shape.

Completely off topic but I haven't seen Vanes fight an entertaining scrap in a very long time to the point I can't remember if I actually ever did see him in an entertaining fight. Racking my brain, I think Vanes versus Lemieux or Spike O'Sullivan would be good scraps and competitively matched....

not so sure about that, and..... he will not be fighting those guys

he certainly ticks the " available " box

and by " available ", I don't mean willing..... I mean that Gennady will land on him, so they will fight him

not sure this fight is heading in the right direction at all

the mover/spoilers are dreaming, they will not get the nod

Vanes has the most punchable face in boxing history.
