    Joshua by 5th round K.O !
How did your prediction go for the Joseph Parker fight? This fight most likely goes the distance, in which Joshua probably wins a decision. Don't see any knockouts happening at this level!

      I had Joshua by 6 .

Povetkin doesnt fight on the back foot , and Joshua wont coast .

Povetkin wont see rnd 7 , hes lucky to see rnd 5 as Joshua will again have a better range fighting a smaller opposition that crouches .

If he fights Wilder next i would give Povetkin a few more rnds but i dont see him lasting 12 .

You'd be surprised again, like how you were in the Joseph Parker fight. You'd be surprised at how durable Povetkin is, and how difficult he will be to KO. Povetkin can actually fight on the back foot. He steps out of range regularly to avoid punches. And he stays out of range, until he gets the timing to get into range.

Wilder will never fight Povetkin! So that one's already out of the picture. But Povetkin would do much better against Wilder, than how Duhaupas did. And Wilder would struggle far more against Povetkin, than he did against Duhaupas. Duhaupas is a sample for how Wilder and Povetkin would perform against each other.

Povetkin is also the more skilled boxer than Wilder. And punches arguably just as hard.

If Povetkin looks anything like how he looked against Price, he gets flattened inside 6. It's still a dangerous fight, but Joshua's team would be confident of beating him after watching that display.

They'd be less confident of taking on Wilder, who has the range and speed advantage. Even with Joshua's tremendous weight loss, it was pretty clear that he struggles to deal with athletic, quick-footed fighters who move well. Wilder is a much tougher fight for AJ than Povetkin.

It's the same reason they want to line up the Jarrell Miller fight. It's an excellent style match up for AJ.

If Takam gave Joshua issues you better believe povetkin would.

Joshua went 12 with Parker. He is not going 12 against Povetkin, AJ will get KOed in 8 or so.

If it is in the UK, no way it goes the full 12 as Povetkin cannot afford to have the judges steal one for AJ.

If the fight is in Russia, I will be on the first plane there. Would be a fair fight and amazing money for both fighters.

Joshua doesn't 'flatten' anybody at the elite level. There's a reason why he failed to 'flatten' or cleanly KO his last 3 opponents = step up in competition to the highest level.

Povetkin was never in trouble against Price. Didn't lose a single round. And was off balance at one point when he walked into a left hook but was barely even dazed or affected by the punch.

And Joshua struggled and lost multiple rounds to Joseph Parker, a guy who arguably lost to Andy Ruiz Jr and Carlos Takam. So what do you think would happen if that version of Joshua faces Povetkin?

He's not choosing anything. Wilder is apparently choosing to reject the offer they gave him. So the show goes on it seems.

                  - Povetkin was knocked down by Price. Being held up by the ropes is a knockdown. That was a 9-9 round, and he was lucky the bell came when it did. He was absolutely affected by the punch. He was close to being knocked out, and very much took most of the next round off.

                  - AJ's most effective punch against Parker was the left hook. The same punch that Povetkin walked straight into against Price.

                  - Takam also took multiple rounds off Povetkin, a few years ago, when Povetkin was in his prime. Povetkin has declined.

                  - Andy Ruiz Jr is a good fighter. I'd give him 50/50 shot with Povetkin.

Whether he was knocked down or not, is irrelevant. It was at best, a flash knockdown. Point is, he didn't look affected at all. His legs were totally fine and were steady. And he looked 100% steady the following round.

Anyone can get knocked down. That doesn't automatically mean one is close to losing.

Joshua's left hook isn't that good! Who did he ever KO with a left hook? His knockouts have usually come from his right hands from range or his right uppercuts up close. Povetkin has the FAR superior left hook and it's more likely Povetkin catches Joshua with a left hook, than vice versa.

Povetkin still brutally KO'ed Takam though. And since then, he only lost 1 round (the first round to Mariusz Wach) against every other opponent he's faced..

Andy Ruiz Jr is a good fighter. I agree! And I give Ruiz a good chance at beating Joshua too.
