Seriously boxing fans need to get a grip. First it was Keith Thurman getting into a boxing accident and getting trashed for having to reschedule that fight when the accident happened. Now this guy gets cheated out of fighting a top p4p guy and people want him to bend over and spread his cheeks for their amusement. Boxing fans sometimes tend to be selfish as fk. Give the guy a f'ing pass, some of ya'll would raise holy hell if you got cheated out of 25 cents at McDonalds I can only imagine your reactions if it were millions. Let this man have what he wants right now, he was trying to give you what you wanted and he isn't the one who fckd that up. Amazing enough the narrative has turned from bashing Canelo for testing positive to bashing Golovkin for not fighting who you want.

did you guys even read the article?
arum reached out on behalf of ESPN to make an offer to buy the fight and air it. how much of an "offer" it really was we cannot say, because there's no opponent, no venue, no conversation about ESPN scheduling and loeffler being willing to move from may 5. HBO stepped in and said they were going to work with loeffler for this fight, and arum backed off.
no talks about zurdo ramirez, nothing. just arum [his son in law, actually, todd duboef,] basically reaching out on behalf of ESPN to talk about an offer for the fight.
what arum did was a good thing. trying to throw another promoter a bone and get the ball rolling regarding getting his fight bought. my guess is that HBO has golovkin under contract [arum said this, but didn't talk about the implication fo the contract,] and that they couldn't take this ifght anywhere but HBO ppv because regular HBO won't buy it.Comment

Arum is trying to make boxers lessen themselves on ESPN to make himself look powerful.
GGG should say PPV or I retire from here on out.
Next thing you know, Arum will say that Canelo should be on ESPN.Comment

Huh? How does this even compare to the Mcgregor - Mayweather circus from last year??? One guy failed a drug test and the other guy is looking for an opponent on short notice. Not quite the same thing as two s**t talking thugs, one of whom was 0-0, going on a press tour that included racism, sexism, yelling back and forth, and some weird Voltron formation of a few juice heads.Comment
