Assume there is & if so thats where Wilder gets paid. Thats how this game works sometimes.
And I really wonder if there is a rematch clause if Wilder wins does Wilder get the reverse split for the rematch like Hearn & Joshua both said they'd be down for iirc.
C'mon man, you know Hearn and AJ would not accept 12 million for the rematch.
There is probably a rematch....no, obviously a rematch clause involved for AJ, and they are the exact same terms as the first fight.
Pac & GGG are/were much more well-established names than Wilder is right now
The match up is what is selling this fight, not either guys name on it's own. So that is a weak argument.
AJ has already showed what his name can generate on it's own, and so has Wilder. And neither on their own come even close to reaching 100 Million.
So what is causing this huge money outcome? The Match up, therefore the split should be more reasonable. Because it's their names coming together that is causing this.
Eddie just f#cking with Finkel I hope. I hope this is a Eddie & Al situation. If Finkel is looking at anything this fight DEFINITELY is not happening next cuz Finkel is w/e in 2018 in my book. I'm sure he's smart, but this is a whole new era + Finkel doesn't seem like a guy who'd be able to interact well with Eddie. Eddie's dad maybe, but again thats where Finkel was playing some sorta weird hand of poker back then to.
And Eddie says whats what if these quotes about the offer are true one can assume "a $12.5M take it-or leave it offer for an Anothony Joshua fight". Or maybe I don't know what take it or leave it means & Finkel does idk.
This is one of those times I wish Haymon actually spoke to boxing people. I'd love to hear his take on a big fight being made you know 4-6 times a year or f#cking something.
Yeah, that number was interesting to me. Its much higher than I would have guessed. But it should be noted that all of the recent "mega fights" have outperformed these sorts of expectations from industry experts. So now I'm much more intrigued with this negotiation.
I was thinking the same exact thing! I was like "100 million or even more?!" I was all for wilder signing the contract on a 60/40 or even a 65/35 but that's not even close to a fair shake!! Its actually pretty damn insulting and I wouldn't blame Wilder for passing, it's one thing to be the A side but come on Hearn!

You know to be honest, Wilder's Showtime ratings are really surprising when you put them in context. Maybe these network/ppv provider guys have some analysts running models that show some serious money being made for this type of HW clash.
I'd be interested to see what precedent they're using. Once Kevin Iole writes on its "expected revenue" then I'll know it's legit.

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe it is a good offer (flat-fee for a PPV is a bit harsh) but the comparison to Canelo-GGG or Mayweather-Pacquiao is not a good one, in my eyes. In a perfect world, all fights would be 50/50 ...realistically, however, Joshua and Hearn have the upperhand, having built up a lucrative media image. ****, Joshua probably makes more from sponsorship alone than Wilder does for fighting
I thought you were gonna defend the flat fee Lol. Well we agree. Its a trash offer. But in the poll I made over 70 posters think it's a great deal. I don't get how anybody can justify Wilder getting less than Parker.
Hearn knows Wilder is going to knock out Joshua, he wants a last big payday. If I was Wilder I would take it just for the pleasure of KOing that arrogant and shuting up the haters
