No .. he and his team just let it be known that there was no way they were fighting Canelo at 154. The word going around was that Floyd wanted it at 150, and Canelo wanted it so bad that he offered to come down to 152, and Floyd accepted that.

Do you actually believe that if Canelo hadn't proposed 152, then Floyd would have gone ahead and fought him at 154?

I would have sympathy for Canelo fighting Floyd @ 152, if Canelo didn't turn around and fight Angulo, Lara, Kirkland, Cotto, and Khan @ 155! When you're the A-side, you have leverage! Floyd is being a hypocrite, which I don't understand, because he's the promoter on April 21st! Why throw shade on a fight you're promoting? If Vargas or Porter didn't want the fight, they could simply say NO. There's no titles in these fights with Broner, but fighters want that bag, so they do what they do!

If, if was a fifth, we'd all be drunk. You can't pass judgment on some hypothetical scenario. GBP first mentioned 150, Mayweather informally said he'd accept 150. Then GBP said, I know we originally said 150, but what about 152. Mayweather happily accepted.

This was not a fight that had to happen and GBP and Canelo were asking for the fight. The difference with AB situation is that he is asking Vargas to for the fight at the catchweight. Further, Broner has fought multiple times and actually made the welterweight limit. Mayweather, even for his 154 fights, hasn't weighed over 151.

              Boo freaking hoo

You guys are crying about canelo having to drop two pounds, but nobody is saying anything to the fact that he looked like he was a good 175-180 on fight night....

Which is all mute because mayweather looked like he channeled ultra instinct against canelo as canelo couldn’t touch him and Floyd walked him down for a good portion of the fight. God you guys hate Floyd so bad because the man is so good.
