For what? if you dont mind me asking?, if he fights zurdo and wins you and many folks will say, yeah but he was afraid to fight Ward or Kova, if he loses they will ssay, what did I tell you, he is a nobody, not taking in consideration many factors, and dont say "I will accept he is good if he wins against Ramirez sine your opinion, like mine does not matter in building thier legacy. This is nothing new, and you can read about human behavior, most people when someone excels at something, boxing in this instance ,always minimize it by saying "well, if he would've fought X he will lose", it is called envy and we all have it.
Will GGG retire w/o signature win?

Well, you have a few guys, who are not bums that are willing to fight, and ready. Andrade, charlo, and Ramirez... not including his mandatory, who, he seems not to want any of the above. It will be O'Sullivan, and then he will sit and wait on canelo, yet again. I actually would give him credit, win or lose vs Ramirez. I don't have envy, I'm just not fond of hyping bum beaters, but can't get a decisive win over any top level guy. It's not my fault. For what? if you dont mind me asking?, if he fights zurdo and wins you and many folks will say, yeah but he was afraid to fight Ward or Kova, if he loses they will ssay, what did I tell you, he is a nobody, not taking in consideration many factors, and dont say "I will accept he is good if he wins against Ramirez sine your opinion, like mine does not matter in building thier legacy. Good post I agree. When he has a static fighter in front him he will look great again.GGG still has Charlo, Canelo, Saunders and Andrade to beat up. I don't see the decline maybe cuz I never held him to a high standard cuz all I ever saw was a punching bag with insane power. His power imo was his defense, you feel one punch and cover up or throw "stay away from me" punches like most of his opponents did. The key now is to not cover up or try to run but to actually duck and GGG misses alot. A slight head movement confuses him.
I also saw alot of his fights from as far back as 2008 so this "off prime" GGG is shocking to me when I hear such. Watch the Rosado fight, you will barely see a difference except for opponents' reaction when they get hit.
Moreover there is barely anything he does best that can be easily deminished with age of 36 and no wars. He still has insane stamina and power, never was an athletic jumper like Pacquiao and cutting off the ring does not really fade with age. So where does that leave us? Quality of opponents.
His jab has been the only thing offensively that has worked for him consistently since Brook. Top fighters don't just stand there to be beat up on.Comment

Exactly!
Most top fighters roll with the punches so you can barely even land flush when you do land.Comment

You have to be super quick, have super timing, or be super committed, to land clean power punches at the highest level and I'm not sure GGG has any of those APART from his jab.
His jab is elite and he has no tell on it, very unpredictable and heavy. With all his other shots they are kind of meh. But as you correctly pointed out, when they do land, he's so heavy handed that they make a difference, and just the threat of his power becomes a deterrent. If you have a lapse in concentration and he land's that left hook or right hand, you are going to be in trouble. Plus he does have some subtlety do his work, great engine, some skill.
But I'm with you it's all predicated on his heavy handedness, he is a b level fighter with A+ power. But in general...overrated.Comment

See the difference is that those so called experts get paid....I don't.I am with you with most of those points, I watch fights with mute on or sometimes with russian commentators, I've been in the ring as well, but you are saying you are an expert? ok, you are, but most experts agree GGG won the Canelo fight and lots say he won against Jacobs..Comment

Hear me now and believe me later. This one was. 10 years or so from now when pundits evaluate his career it will be a draw with an asterisk. Eg. Golovkin got a draw in a fight with Canelo Alverez. A wildy unpopular decision that the majority of boxing experts of the day scored as a win for Golovkin.Comment
