Hear me now and believe me later. This one was. 10 years or so from now when pundits evaluate his career it will be a draw with an asterisk. Eg. Golovkin got a draw in a fight with Canelo Alverez. A wildy unpopular decision that the majority of boxing experts of the day scored as a win for Golovkin.

You don't seem to understand, a draw is a draw, and win is a win. What people who are unbiased will look at is how ****** and crude golovkin looks vs a fighter with any sort of defense, and with CLEAN shots coming back in combination and getting hit with them, doesn't show me it was a golovkin win. Not even a little bit.

You have to be super quick, have super timing, or be super committed, to land clean power punches at the highest level and I'm not sure GGG has any of those APART from his jab.

His jab is elite and he has no tell on it, very unpredictable and heavy. With all his other shots they are kind of meh. But as you correctly pointed out, when they do land, he's so heavy handed that they make a difference, and just the threat of his power becomes a deterrent. If you have a lapse in concentration and he land's that left hook or right hand, you are going to be in trouble. Plus he does have some subtlety do his work, great engine, some skill.

But I'm with you it's all predicated on his heavy handedness, he is a b level fighter with A+ power. But in general...overrated.
