Good news from team Wilder. Let's get this done. Looking forward to the announcement soon.

Weirdly enough, it appears the WBA may have sped this process up for us lol

Yeah. It was either lose to Povetkin, or get stretched by Wilder for much more money.

Okay, so we can dispense with all the posturing I can see a few potential of snags:

-The rematch clause. Will Joshua's team buy into a 60/40 in favor of Wilder in the event of a rematch? If they want to push that issue, I could see Joshua's team walking away. I really can. The rematch needs to be promised, but the terms and conditions should probably be clean going into it.

-Judges/refs. I hate generalizing, but we have seen some bad refs in recent UK shows. Judges may be a huge Wilder sticking point since Joshua has the home court advantage. I know that those positions are usually appointed after the deals are actually signed, but I can Wilder's team wanting first refusal.

-Other money revenue. I believe 60/40 (I still doubt it will be that high for Wilder, but let's go with it) usually is the PPV/Gate cash. There are tons of other ducketts flowing into an event like this. Will that be a problem for Wilder's team, which will have to cede that to the "A" side in the UK?

Lot's of places for this to fall apart and each side blame the other. I will not buy into this until we hear an announcement. But this is at least a positive sign.

I have to admit that I'm glad that Joshua has finally spoken up on this fight. It's not made yet and I don't believe that theyll fight until it's announced. I have doubts about the stiff one.
