Disclaimer: I can't fight a lot of gate info for UK so feel free to send some in.

Anthony Joshua vs Vlad Klitschko was all I could find.

    Gate receipts from the 90,000 sell-out crowd - a post-war British record - will generate £8million.

£8m in gate receipts from a record 90,000 crowd.

Source: With Wembley packed to its 90,000 capacity, gate revenue from tickets that ranged from £60 up to £2,200 is calculated to be in the region of £8m.

For those of you that don't know, £9M = 12.7M USD.

Hopkins who was NEVER a PPV guy nor a big draw put 14,345 ásses in seats against Calzaghe in 2008 for 11.6M.

Hopkins vs Hoya 14 years ago did 12.78M with 15,672 people in attendance.

Tyson vs McNeely did 13.9M with 16,113. 1995 man, 23 years ago (LMAO).

Lewis vs Holyfield 2 did 16.8M with 17,078 in 1999, 19 years ago.

If I'm in error here, definitely willing to listen to reason. But from the data I've presented that is readily available, 90k nosebleed cheap seats where you get a free toaster and a fish-n-chip plate for a few quid make a siginificently less gate revenue than what Vegas can do.

I don't see how being in the industry warrants more knowledge that what independant research can do. The numbers are here, let's go! The UK is using that to keep Joshua protected.
Now, also include the PPV buys that 80-90k stadium fight sold.
Think its safe to say the US overcharge their customers big time.

As for the actual arguments. Golovkin was the most recent I can recall but you don't know the history of boxing if you're going to start extolling the virtues of Las Vegas decision making. Felix Sturm robbed by De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao by Timothy Bradley etc etc. Vegas is no guarantee of fair officiating far from it.

The 7 fights you mention. 5 of them have the biggest generating fighter of all time, Vegas native Mayweather who enjoys a far greater profile than either of these fighters. 4 of them have Hispanic fighters helping to deliver the Latino crowd. Lewis Holyfield is the closest comparison but that was a long time ago and both those fighters had far higher profiles in the US.
Nobody is saying Vegas is perfect, but it's light years better than the UK. If you don't know that, maybe get into another sport because you're not into this one.

Pacquiao Bradley was a close fight, I had Pacqiuao inching it. Top Rank fixes fights, no secret there. Only a casual would think Vegas favored Bradley because he was American. Do you really think that (lol)?

Why not? He was still paid for the fight. It showed what he was worth at the time in the open market. You have no other way to know what he really gets paid since Haymon can manipulate the numbers on in house events to hide what Wilder really gets. Unless you believe Cotto was really only paid $750,000 for his retirement fight?

I think Parker-Joshua did over 100,000 (record) buys on New Zealand ppv, which is a remarkable number considering the time difference and the ppv was priced at the equivalent of $35 USD, so I'm not convinced Wilder is a bigger star, in terms of revenue anyway
Joshua-Wilder would do at least 250,000 US buys at $70, so why would 100,000 NZ buys at $35 mean Parker is a bigger draw than Wilder?

£8 mil across 90,000 would mean an average of £90 a ticket. That’s not just ticket but also merchandise, food, drink etc.

That is significantly under calling it. For one - the vast majority of tickets were above that price for Joshua Klitschko, some near ringside obviously £1000’s.

I would suggest doubling that figure is more closer to revenue numbers.

I think the ad hominem is an improvement on the outright insults in your last post, but alas only a slight one. If you ever want to discuss boxing in an adult way I'd be happy to do so. Till then have a great day.

No it won't do the same PPV in the UK. The fight in Vegas means it's at 4 to 5 am...

I think it's a slightly deceptive example to pick however, it's the result of a lost purse bid, an overpayment designed to get Wilder's belt to Russia financed by povetkins wealthy backers. Does it represent what wilder can typically command in the market place?

Does Charles martins £6m fee for risking and losing his belt to AJ accurately reflect his value in the marketplace?

Like, how long have you been watching Boxing? Because your first post sounds like you just started watching like 2 years ago. Step up your game young grasshopper.

Why can't the do the same amount of PPV's with the fight in Vegas? Sky will still have rights, they can sell it to the Germans like they always do and get a piece of the US market too.

Here we go with another pleb. Vegas is the cleanest place to fight on the planet, what are you smoking cuz I never want to smoke that dust tainted Reggie. Germany, UK, Colombia (watch the Torres fight where they snatch a leg from ringside), and Asia off the top of my head are the shadiest for fight fixing. Vegas is a global base with little home court advantage. You see Calzaghe lose to Hopkins in Vegas on the cards? There goes your shíthead theory.

Boxing is on the decline? Angel Dust is rotting your brain kid. The last 20 years has been the best for Boxing in Earth's History!!!

Those are just gates never mind PPV buys and other revenue. Those 7 fights are the biggest fights in history. Get with the program and quit quoting headlines.

Vegas = 4 or 5 AM for UK fans and 6 AM for Germany I believe. The viewers will definitely be lower and most likely sponsors for advertisements etc...

It will do well still, but definitely not a max potential.

Until Wilder generates money from PPV, it's all speculation.
