Espn is kicking ass in the ratings and the biggest fights are still to come. Valdez got 1.1 million viewers, showtime fighters are getting 500k views most fights. Crawford had the highest rated Hbo fight in 2017, they were going to put this on Ppv for 60 instead you can get it for 4.99 and your complaining? If your willing to buy an 80 dollar mayweather fight or pitch in with a few people you should be able to shell out the price of a quarter pounder without the combo to watch the p4p number 1 or 2 fighter in the world challenging for a welterweight title for his first fight at 147. Horn is a top 10 undefeated welterweight champion who is huge and will likely try to rough up Crawford like he did with Pacquiao. He comes to fight I cant wait for this. Crawford will likely win but this is his biggest test so far in his career

I'm more concerned with the fact that I'm in CanadaYou need the app to watch the fight which is just fine with me. I pay the same amount for Serius xm which I hardly use. A good card like Crawford Horn is worth the 5 dollars a month, you can cancel at any time so if they announce a bullcrap card next month youd have only spent 5 dollars for Crawford Horn which is an important fight in the ww division, then when they put on another good fight just pay the 5 bucks again. Espn said these are going to be high profile fights so you may not want to cancel it.
a) chances are we don't get the app at launch
b) we have bandwidth limits up here, so the more we stream, the more we pay. It's bull****.Comment

You can't understand the post? What are you talking about? Crawford is going to make bank on this fignt and so is Horn. If Espn can get a million people to buy the app they would make 30 million thr first year alone if half the people cancel after the first month, 60 million if they all keep it for a year. This will be the first boxing fight on Espn, im willing to bet millions of boxing fans will sign up generating hundreds of millions a year for Espn. Not to mention every year they will keep getting more, why do you think Netflix could pay Dave Chappelle 20 million for each comedy special? Streaming services are huge money machines
With respect to your point about the ESPN app, I have no need to buy the ESPN streaming service. I'm not going to buy it just to watch Top Rank fights.
I was hoping ESPN would be the "Ronald Reagan of Boxing" and tear down the walls between rival promoters and managers since they have deals with all of them. I was encouraged when Loma/Linares was signed.
This service is only going to make the divisions more pronounced because TR will get additional resources which will allow them to make more inhouse fights.
It's a good plan for TR and ESPN but not necessarily for me as a boxing fan.Comment
