So I will need the app to watch this fight? or it will be on ESPN and the app?

Why don't they just make an app where I can watch the channel live whenever I want or I can watch certain content, like Showtime? (Which has the original programming that I watch much more than boxing.)

Their content isn't strong enough to pull this move.
Youd pay 80 dollars to watch Mayweather fight on the back foot defensively and pot shotting all night but you wouldnt pay 60 dollars for 12 Top Rank cards on Espn the first being Crawford Horn? What part of the game is that

You need the app to watch the fight which is just fine with me. I pay the same amount for Serius xm which I hardly use. A good card like Crawford Horn is worth the 5 dollars a month, you can cancel at any time so if they announce a bullcrap card next month youd have only spent 5 dollars for Crawford Horn which is an important fight in the ww division, then when they put on another good fight just pay the 5 bucks again. Espn said these are going to be high profile fights so you may not want to cancel it.

Maybe you're not the brightest but surely you understand the difference between having a fight party with 10 plus people paying for a PPV (paid around $6 per person), versus watching fights alone on your phone.

As I stated above, the Showtime app is much more about the content, with the fights as a cool boost to the offering. For example, I just watched Billions for the second time in 24 hours.

I'm not paying an app for only 12 cards in a year.

I just watched the entire NCAA tourney on my phone for free via their mobile app. ESPN can do better than this.

This is so lame and to think they faked a Crawford injury just for this ****** app that doesn't come with your espn subscription and is not offered for folks who don't stream. I remember arum saying his deal with espn was to deliver fights on free tv so it's exposed to more fans. lol That last 6 months now we limiting the amount of folks who will watch the Crawford fight and forcing everyone to buy subscription for this new app? A lot of folks will illegally stream this or just wait the next day to watch it. And casuals will just not care at all. Could of put it on ESPN draw good ratings and expose new fans. SMH

This is bullsh-t. Crawford should tell TR to f-ck off?
What are you talking about? Crawford is going to make bank on this fignt and so is Horn. If Espn can get a million people to buy the app they would make 30 million thr first year alone if half the people cancel after the first month, 60 million if they all keep it for a year. This will be the first boxing fight on Espn, im willing to bet millions of boxing fans will sign up generating hundreds of millions a year for Espn. Not to mention every year they will keep getting more, why do you think Netflix could pay Dave Chappelle 20 million for each comedy special? Streaming services are huge money machines

You think 1m boxing fans are going to sign up and pay for a 1 year subscription? When so far for 2018 ESPN, HBO, SHOWTIME are avg around 500-700K viewers for their fights? And all those channels offer more content fans care about and in many cases already subscribe to outside of boxing. If you have showtime or HBO its usually not just for boxing its for exclusive shows and huge library of movies on top of boxing. If you have netflix you likely watching more then just 1 standup their library of exclusive elite content is almost unmatched. What else but some old fights you can find online and youtube for free are EAPN+ offering? And the last time Crawford fought on PPV he drew only 50K buys non boxing fans don't know or care about him. I have no clue how many suckers will pay for this app but you struggle to get 1m boxing fans to consistently just tune in to a channel they already own for big fights yet you think 1m will all go out their way to download and pay to watch it on their phone? I want to know what you are smoking. lol

Would all those fans who were all over this forum trumpeting Arum’s ‘brilliance’ for his ‘free’ ESPN deal please make sure you continue to support his endeavors.
