I'm pretty certain that you didn't even watch the fight and are just saying that lara was practically running out of the ring because you're going based on his reputation. If you actually saw the fight, you'd know that lara spent alot of time in the pocket and landed the cleaner punches through most of the fight. Hurds biggest strengths which won him the fight were his activity level and the fact that he got the knock down.

his main strength was his size. that was one of the biggest 154 lbers i have ever seen. he walked through lara's shots, which are usually sharp and hurt guys. when he threw llittle pitty pat shots they did real damage to lara. busted his face up, scored points, and slowed his legs way down.

Lara was winning going into the last round. Even with the big 12th round by Hurd, it would not have been a robbery if Lara had gotten the decision anyway.

Interesting. I was scoring that night and had Hurd up 7-4 going into the 12th. There were some really close rounds though that could've gone either way.

True, i should have said I Had Lara winning going into the 12th.

Also, two of the judges had the same score I did, though I doubt we scored all the rounds the same. As you said, there were some close rounds.

It was hard to judge some rounds because I was so engrossed in the action. In the RBR thread I even posted rounds were close.

I had no issue with your score or the judge that had Lara winning 114-113.

Lara was clearly the most skilled fighter but Hurd's superior gas tank and chin won him the fight, in the end Lara was unable to deal with the relentless pressure




He couldn't, last two rounds Lara was exhausted and just trying to not getting KTFO there. he couldn't "outbox" anyone anymore at that point

You right, he was hurt after that eye jammed up but like I said if he boxed from the beginning he could have made it easy for himself.

I would have bet Lara but when I saw them at the face off I stayed out of it cuz Hurd looked huge next to Lara. Lara could have out boxed him easy. I just wonder why he did that toe to toe game plan? I still got Jermell beating Hurd.

I felt the same way. When your opponent is practically running outta the ring trying to survive the cards shouldn’t be that close. Lara doesn’t fight 3 minutes of the round. He fights for less than a minute of every round. I hope now you shut up the ****y Charlo Brothers.

Did you see him after the knockdown he had nothing he was in full retreat exhausted eye shut he got thoroughly beat down. Yea he stayed in the pocket taking punches cause he couldn’t keep Hurd off of him.

He was retreating before the knock down, he could not see from the right eye, blood was impending his vision and guess what? A left hook did the trick. The guy stay in packet because he doesn't have the legs any longer but he still has balls...
