are you sure.. almost everybody on here blamed Wilder for Pedvetkin failing a test. Wilder was accused of having VADA in his pocket. and the tide is shifting on the Canelo issue because GGG is out here bum hunting when there's legit replacements available.

MW division has been weak for years . Look at GGGs record of opponents. It was good background when they had b hop , Taylor, Pavlik, martiniez and others.

the MW division was arguably way weaker during Hopkin's reign. go look at the names under all his defenses. but B Hop never got **** for it because social media wasn't prevalent, he was winning decisions not knockouts and he never bragged about knocking out light heavyweights in sparring.

Cries a river to get out of Canelo so he can fight Spike Sullivan. i think he was on a reality show or something. Maybe it was a video game. Definitely not a boxer that any top fighter should be facing.

G has lost all respect. He has proved all his haters over the years to be 100% correct. G does not want a legacy, he does not want to fight the best, he does not want to test himself. He would rather settle for a million dollars and a sure-fire win against the likes of Rubio, Tureano, Wade, Brook, Spike, etc. etc.

If he actually fights this fictional character, Spike, he should be deported.

Get ready for GGG haters to state names that were
                A: Old
                B: Not really that good
C: Fighters with an awful record, but because they fought big names, they were good. Never mind they lost.

I disagree. The fact that the fight got canceled basically a month out is the reason, and most of the other big names in the division already have fights lined up. If the same thing happened in any other division we would see the same thing. That being said, there’s no excuse why GGG’s team shouldn’t do the Derevyenchenko fight. It takes care of the IBF mandatory and he is the best available guy right now and would be a real challenge for GGG I believe. But yeah, I disagree that MW is a particularly weak division. I think 18-24 months ago, yes definitely, but not now. You got Golovkin, Canelo, Jacobs, Saunders, Charlo, Derevyenchenko, Lemieux, Andrade, Murata, and probably a couple others I’m forgetting. That’s not a bad lineup of fighters. Plus there will probably be a couple more good JMW that will
Move up at some point in the near future because of weight because they are huge. Like Hurd and Julian Williams and others.

What you're really pissed about is Golovkin not getting a free pass on an easy late replacement. How much slack did you give Wilder for fighting Areola?? That's about how much you should expect people to give Golovkin if he fights a can like O Sullivan.
I don't see how those are parallels.

Wilder pulled out of the Povetkin fight before a ruling was made. He fought Arreola a couple months later in a completely unrelated bout with normal negotiations/full camp (for his opponent).

Canelo pulled out of this one and Golovkin is merely showing up for his end of the bargain on an unchanged date at a downsized venue if I'm not mistaken. It would be an anomaly if he pulled a superstar opponent out of his hat and they agreed on money less than 4 weeks out. Not impossible, but also not the usual outcome.

To answer though; I wasn't hard on Wilder for Arreola. It's on par with his usual fare & I didn't find it remarkable enough to comment on at all.

Reality: He was scheduled to fight Canelo & Canelo ran into issues completely out of Golovkin's control. His replacement hasn't even been secured & will probably only have a couple weeks to prepare. Normally people wouldn't be expecting a superfight announcement with a few weeks to go after one fighter bails on drug allegations but people are strange about Golovkin.
