When was the last time GGG was an underdog? And when the time he steps up competition, he looks mortal, compared to Hopkins who outclass opponent who's favored to win. Hopkins looked dominant against top rated fighters while GGG struggled.
      Thank you!

Trinidad after Bhop lost - retired for 2 years, then managed to win against the dangerous Ricardo Mayorga. Mayorga then proceeds to win another title after his defeat to Tito

Oscar De La Hoya - temporarily retired and also win a title against Mayorga after he returned.

I'm not going to count his LHW reign since that is another topic. But that's another thing that GGG will doubtly accomplish.
        Man you are killing him!!!!

No version of Felix Trinidad beats GGG. hells no. Winky obliterated his ass with a jab. GGG has arguably the best jab in boxing and way more weapons behind it. Tito gets folded. and once again people would just say Tito was a small welter that GGG dragged up.

Jermain Taylor beat Hopkins twice. Why mention him. him vs GGG prime for prime is an interesting matchup. great fantasy fight.

William Joppy will be called a bum vs GGG. we know this.

DLH would be another small welter GGG dragged up. Hopkins escaped all these criticisms because social media wasn't a thing. and at 160 Oscar gets slept by Golovkin.

Roy Jones beat Hopkins. Why mention him. and prime for prime he beats GGG too.

Howard Eastman would also get the bum tag today. and I'll pick GGG over him any day.

Pavlik vs Hopkins was 170 catchweight. Hopkins whipped his ass like a slave. arguably his best performance. if Pavlik and GGG meet at 170 I'll probably favor Pavlik. so I'll give you that one. but we're strictly talking their reigns at 160.

Brook, Lemeiux, Monroe, Murray, Stevens, Jacobs. no that's not spectacular but it's solid. Hopkins reign was also solid. his biggest wins were two blown up welters. we know GGG would've got no credit for that.

again I'm a Bhop lifer. I grew up on him. putting emotion and nostalgia aside I'm just being honest.
We were talking about names on the resume not just WINs. GGGs record does not compare to BHOP PERIOD. Sorry I am late I am in St Louis for the week doing sales.

            you spinning in circles.

your logic was that Hopkins beating Glen Johnson was a great win simply because of what the loser of the fight accomplished almost a decade later.

so I said well Clinton Mitchell must be the goat since he beat Hopkins and the loser of that fight went on to become a legend.

"did Clinton Mitchell accomplish anything" yeah he beat the legend Hopkins and he gets full credit according to your logic.

Glen Johnson would be a bum on GGG's resume. We all know this.

Tito got obliterated by Winky with a jab. there is 0% chance he beats GGG. None.

Oscar gets cornered and pulverized vs GGG. he didn't belong at 160 which is why his fight vs Hopkins was 157 catchweight.

would Golovkin get credit for beating two blown up welters? we know the answer for that. yet beating two small welters is what defines Hopkins reign at 160. he doesn't get half the criticim Golovkin does. We know this.

Brook is a fckn giant welter that would probably tower over Oscar and Tito yet GGG gets zero credit for devouring him. they say he dragged the "small" guy up. but Oscar and Tito are smaller.

Hopkins was safe from social media backlash. he cruised through his reign while every single move now is magnified and critiqued.

Glen Johnson = bum. If we apply today's standards. Period.

We're talking about their reigns at 160. Hopkins wins at 175 are out the picture.

Hopkins reign at 160 consists of two blown up welters. That's it. there's nothing else to talk about.

And we saw how much sht GGG took for facing Brook, a giant welter that towers over Oscar and Tito.

If Oscar and Tito never move up to face Hopkins what "names" would we discuss during his reign?

The original bum originally slated to fight him, apparently skipped the fight due to looming suspension. BTW, who is that bum fighting on May 5th?

Glen Johnson, Tito was an real middleweight , his dad made him cut Weight for years! John David Jackson,Howard Eastman, and William Joppy was an three time middleweight champion. So that's one hall of famer , one pending , and the rest were title holders.
