G has lost all respect. He has proved all his haters over the years to be 100% correct. G does not want a legacy, he does not want to fight the best, he does not want to test himself. He would rather settle for a million dollars and a sure-fire win against the likes of Rubio, Tureano, Wade, Brook, Spike, etc. etc. If he actually fights this fictional character, Spike, he should be deported.
At about 35 years old, he has just 2 worthwhile fights to his name.

It is "come to 160 if you are serious" then when you do come to 160, it's "prove yourself at 160" except you are a sure-fire win. His fans will say anything to cover his azz.

Crippled Martinez ducked him for his peanut payday, 147 Floyd Mayweather ducked him, little Cotto that never fought at 160 ducked him, fat kid Canelo at 155lbs ducked him, retired 168 Froch ducked him.... Smh I can't.

      Exactly!

And they are deliberately dragging this out into late days so it looks like they didn't have a choice but to pick an extremely weak opponent.

I can't believe a 20 year old, 154lbs Mexican prospect was even mentioned as possible opponent.

Now they are talking about venues. Why go through all this hustle? Cancel the event!

Get off this May 5th date. You're not gonna get anyone worth a damn without paying them serious money.

Hopefully we get to see ggg vs Saunders soon ... f**k clen
I wouldn't say he handled everything with class.... He did go off on Oscar and Canelo.
I don't blame him one bit though but handling it with class would of been him saying something like,
" We'll let the commission do it's job and hopefully the truth would prevail and they make the right call on the fight and they take proper actions against Canelo "....
That would of been handling it with class.
But again I don't blame him one bit for going off on Canelo.
Oscar is a different story. No reason to say Oscar is taking PED's or was taking PED's when he's never been caught or accused of it before...

It's not really weak in the least bit.

            GGG
            Canelo
            Jacobs
            Saunders
            Charlo
            Andrade
            Derevyanchenko
            Ryota
            Lemueix

            That's probably the top 9 then there's

            Quigley
            N'Dam
            Korobov

Just as loaded as any other division is. Top loaded with good talent and an abundance of fringe contenders. It's just that most of the guys are not available to fight on 4 weeks notice.

Delusional. There were a few Povetkin threads but Canelo is getting trashed in thread after thread, every day, for weeks now. Sure, there are a few goofs trolling the situation, as there will always be. But, Canelo is the furthest thing from a "hero" right now.

What you're really pissed about is Golovkin not getting a free pass on an easy late replacement. How much slack did you give Wilder for fighting Areola?? That's about how much you should expect people to give Golovkin if he fights a can like O Sullivan.

Basically that's it. The May 5 event is going to generate peanuts. Golovkin is committed to the date and will just need to suck it up, but anyone else taking on the assignment will also have to do it for peanuts, and what legit contender will accept such a high risk fight at late notice for little compensation ?

Hearing Andrade and Derevyanchenko 'put their hands up' doesn't tell us under what terms they would fight, and if the event could afford it.

Only people who will take it are those willing to make a hail mary, ie someone with little chance of getting a title shot under any other circumstances and will accept a relatively low purse . Basically O'Sullivan.

Best outcome remains to cancel May 5 and move to June date that Saunders can make.

I don't know if Canelo deliberately took peds or if he is only guilty of being careless and irresponsible with his preparation by eating contaminated meat. That is for experts and an independent investigation to decide. But I do know this: GGG's and Abel Sanchez's excessive whining and complaining have cost them a multi-million dollar payday. Canelo should be held to account if he is guilty, but not by a cyberspace lynch mob or by the bytching and moaning of GGG. Given this poisoned atmosphere, I would be surprised if there is a rematch in September, or ever for that matter.

The replacement for Canelo doesn’t matter, not enough time to get a bigger fighter if you look at it as a promoter. The only person to blame is Canelo. Got meat?

The title really should be "Golovkin: I'm NOT ready for anyone, Canelo's issues ARE my problem."
