Hoping it happens in the US so the UK judges dont have so much impact on the actual fight.
The reffing in Lara/Hurd was perfect.
The reff let it go and was only their to call on the correct decisions to keep the fight moving.
The reff in the AJ/Parker ruined the fight imo.
I had the Parker fight 9/3 to Joshua, so the judges pretty much got it right.
Oh, and 2 of the judges came from NZ and the US.Comment

Judges are probably worse in america. The referee wasn’t English, and agree he was awful - stopping both fighters getting their inside game working.
I’m not sure who they would agree to referee wilder Joshua, I don’t think having an English ref would actually be a hinderance at all (I can understand 1 uk, 1 USA, 1 neutral judge). I suspect they would end up agreeing a neutral ref though - hopefully not a similar one!
There's no probably about it. The US is worse than the rest of the world combined.Comment

Why do AJ flunkies keep making fun of Ortiz age. Wlad is older and coming off an loss and two year layoff. And still managed to put prime AJ on his ass. he needed a war to survive the senile Wladimir. Pathetic.
and the word "dominate" belongs nowhere near the AJ/Parker fight. It was a dull flat performance from both. Parker's feints kept AJ frozen and hesitant. and every time Parker even grazed his chin it affected him. When Wilder taps that spot AJ's chin gonna evaporate.
Hahahahahaha.Comment

Ortiz is. So no, you're wrong.
In fact, Ortiz is the most overrated puncher I have ever seen. There was no weight or snap in his shots when he fought Wilder. Yet, he had him doing the funky dance for about 2 rounds. If Joshua were to land on Wilder, it's game over there and then.Comment

And the fighters Lennox consistently fought are so much better than the top fighters of this era. To say otherwise is just crazy.Comment

Interesting outlook. But that's what's fun about all of this, since we don't know factually, all our speculations are just that and make for interesting conversations about our opinions. So many different styles and fighters and eras. We've been lucky to see some amazing ones in our lifetime.

Tyson is right. It was such a dull fight. When Tyson went 12 rounds he still punished his opponents and did everything he could to take them out. AJ looked terrified of being hit and every time Parker landed he froze as if he expected his legs to fall under him. He won't be able to peck his way to a decision victory against Wilder. What Wilder lacks in skill he makes up for in heart and killer instinct. AJ has neither.Comment
