Hurd can take a beating and Lara's stamina ain't what it used to be. Lara was doing great, snapping the dude's head back, everything he needed to do. Problem is, Hurd is a stack of bricks and Lara just couldn't sustain the output. I think everyone should have known Hurd would look bad in the early rounds and come on late. I think those predicting Lara to win (incl myself) didn't expect him to start looking tired in the 3rd round.Last edited by Redd Foxx; 04-08-2018, 08:55 PM.Comment

I thought Lara fought a great fight and fought his heart out. He lost a close one to hell of a good young champion who just was a little too strong for him with too much stamina, work rate and punching power. I think Lara is the 2nd best of the current 154 pound boxers but Hurd is the best.Comment

I think he ran less and fought toe to toe with Hurd who is younger, punches harder and is relentless.. Hurd is improving every game but lacks defense.. he took Lara's best shots and still came forward and Lara didn't stick to the game plan that worked for him for so long.. Lara shouldn't have fought toe to toe for so many rounds, it exhausted him and also it didn't help he is 34 and hasn't fought prime competition since Canelo..
Credit to Hurd, dude dug the victory out and though I had it a draw, I don't disagree a victory for either guy either..Comment
