If Lara is going to fight like he did last night, then it becomes a game of will vice a game of skill! Lara doesn't have one-punch power, so if he can't move as much, can he still win while fighting "in-the-pocket?" I think at this point, J-Rock vs. Lara is a 50/50 fight! Brook is a 50/50 fight! Gallimore is just as tough as Hurd, but not as big! He would be a good comeback opponent for Lara, if he can't fight the other 2!

Lara's DNA is as a counter puncher. A thinking man's fighter.

I would not get carried away with his "in the pocket" stance last night. He had no choice. Hurd forced him to fight.

JRock...likable, decent fighter but is still a class below Lara.
I think you are being too generous to JRock, in calling a fight with Lara 50/50

Brook...would be the perfect foil for a counter punching Lara.
It would be target practice all night until the towel is thrown in.
I honestly do not see what people see in Brook.
Again you are selling Lara short calling this a 50/50 fight.

Gallimore...i have to admit , as much as i thought he was raw and there was no way JRock would lose to him i came away impressed with his toughness.
He is still very raw and a work in progress.
He will make a good sparring partner for Lara where he can get some seasoning. Nothing more.

tolerable? You sound like a hater who doesn't like lara just because he isn't Mexican.

You said Hurd made him fight that way, but that's where we disagree. Lara went to that early, and he was doing excellent early too! But he had to give up the body to get what he wanted. When he got what he wanted, he was too fatigued to make a difference! I don't know why he did it? Maybe he can't move as much? It happens to the best! If he can't be the Lara vs. Canelo, then he'll continue to be what he was last night! Time will tell!

What about Valdez vs Quigg ?? That was a great war and FOTY candidate

Is it a coincidence all those fights featured Cubans? And in losing efforts to boot? Lol
