James DeGale put himself in line for a third showdown with bitter rival George Groves by becoming a two-time world champion. The 32-year-old super-middleweight outpointed Caleb Truax in a rematch at The Joint at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday to reclaim the IBF world title.

Groves has got to get by Smith and my feeling is he will and unfortunately for James be in command of the negotiations as he at this stage is the bigger name.

      Degale should seek unification.

Groves edged DeGale in the first fight, he might knock him out in the second.

Going by his fights against Traux, I'd be surprised if DeGale beat Groves or Smith

Degale at this stage loses to any of Groves, Smith, Zurdo & Benavidez. I’d weirdly quite like to see him in with Eubank Jr, although Groves exposed Jr, I could still see his energy troubling Degale, plus the two don’t like each other!

He doesn't look anywhere near the level he'd need to beat either of those.

If GG beats Smith as I think he will then Groves Degale unification would be a big domestic fight in the uk. Probably chunkys last stand.

Although I do wonder if there's a style issue with truax that made him particularly awkward for Degale

Wow what a turn around for groves. It started to look shaky after the back to back KOs from froch now he's about to be the top dawg at 168lb with two belts after beating this clown.

I think Zurdo wipes degale down honestly. However his handlers are babying him.

Degale getting spanked by Groves big time. Groves is at (or just past) his peak, and Degale is already well on his way out.
