DeGale does appear to be done and has been less than impressive for a number of fights, but he's not a bum champ. He's got the best resume out of all the fighters at 168, albeit with a few favourable decisions

He looked like he always does. Don't know why he's stuck with McDonnell. Loyalty is one thing but he's done nothing for regale and it's cost regaled career. He fights like a batamweight...pitty patty punches..far too much movement..a crap jab that he half throws. Holds his feet at the wrong time. He fights too much like an amateur. He had the style that could have really taken to the pro's. Think it's too late for him to remould his style and he's just there to be hit with McDonnell

I absolutely agree. He was doing it on purpose and should of been dq'd at the very least been deducted a point. I thought neither fighter deserved the win. Degale is one of a few fighters who almost always gets undeserved decisions. Jack beat the **** out of him and dominated him yet a draw was given and he got to keep his belt. Medina also beat him up and got screwed over with Degale being given a gift decision. His next fight he is gonna lose and lose badly. The guy is delusional, thinking just because he got this gift tonight validates that he is still in his prime. Watch the odds on his next fight will be in his favor because all people will recall is he won his title back in the US and a Brit regaining a title and doing it outside of England is a big deal. Can't wait to make money on his next fight. And what the hell kind of name is Chunky!

Yes you're spot on. I saw people praising him for staying loyal to McDonnell. It's unreal. If anyone ever needed a fresh voice in his corner it's Degale as his previous fight with Truax showed all too well.

If he's serious about boxing on for a couple more years (he shouldn't) then he should get a different trainer and actually listen to them. He's either tuned out McDonnell or he's being given bad coaching. Either way it's a shame because he's been brave in the fights he's taken and defending his belt on the road.

I thought Degale won by a point but he is SHOT.There was something wrong with Truax(who is only top 20)and had that been same Truax as 1st fight Degale would have been stopped.I could not believe how bad Degale looked(twice now)and only good thing for him is if he plays cards right someone will overpay him to get that title(Charles Martin) before someone else does.
