To be fair, this sounds like a trigger finger ref. I'll have to watch this

EDIT: I do think the stoppage was a little suspect, but Mayorga looked like he wasn't responding properly to commands. Hard to tell on the broadcast I watched. But he was winning the fight up until he got ****** and started eating punches.
