Close fight. VERY entertaining and wouldn't mind seeing a rematch.

First half of the fight was tough to score so I didn't bother (Shoulder shrug) just sat back and enjoyed the fight instead. I did think Hurd pulled it out overall.

Hurd has a very flawed style but it works for him because of his physical attributes. And he doesn't get hit flush quite as often as people think.

I don't have a clue what will happen when him and charlo meet. But based off the post fight interview charlo is still underestimating hurd(like a dumbass) the same way Lara did and we saw what that got him.

Charlo better be ready..

Even though i picked lara by points.....hurd to me looked the winner in the ring tonight and was just to busy for lara....lara was more accurate but could not keep hurd off him....great fight and was laras most gritty gut check fight in hus career.
I cannot see hurd lasting as a champio when he comes up against a bigger puncher.....has zero defence

That was a really good fight, i think that was the most exciting fight Lara took part in, better than the Angulo fight. I was already high on Hurd and now he got a new fan, cant wait till he walks down Charlo and knocks him out.

I’m not mad at any of the judges scores even though I had a bit wider for Hurd.

Lara picked the wrong opponent to stand and trade with instead of his normal safe running style. But that being said Lara gained more respect from me tonight, that was probably his most entertaining fight.

Hurd has great offense and horrible defense but he don’t care because the size difference allows him to eat shots. What I don’t think he gets enough credit for though is his stamina. Say what you want about his size but in the later rounds he always outworks his opponents.

Thank you! The guy lost a close entertaining fight in which he showed heart, what more do they want!

These people aren’t fight fans. They have fighters they love. And they have fighters they love to hate. And most of them have a very 80s WWF approach to following boxing. There’s a good guy and a bad guy. And no matter how good a performance the bad guy puts on, they hate him, and will never appreciate him. It’s pathetic.

Hurd's offense turns into his defense, especially when he wears down his opponent. Towards the end of the fight how many times did Hurd throw combinations without anything coming back?

It was a great fight and I see a lot of people calling for a rematch. I hate to say it because I’m a fan of Lara. But Hurd beats him easier in a rematch and probably stops him. At 35, this is the best Lara will do against this kid. He lost because he couldn’t hurt Hurd. And at 35, he doesn’t have the legs to stay on his bicycle for twelve rounds like he could against Canelo. I think Hurd KOs him in a rematch. Lara was a great and under appreciated champion. But it’s time for a new boss at 154 to emerge. I say make Hurd-Mell Charlo sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I agree. Clearly he plans on that wear you down style. I was just talking about his defense in the first half of fights.
