If Floyd works the same way most promoters works that means he sees the writing on the wall cuz with that McGregor undercard fight + this upcoming Cuellar fight being signed Floyd would have put in details about an extension for Tank to sign. So if Tank isn't looking to stick with Floyd he'd obviously be saying nah thats cool & asking for a non-extension deal.
Well if his next fight is his last on that contract then he would just do the fight and not fight Loma or whoever TBE wants him to fight next. He would be out of a contract in his last fight.

Glad the fight is happening. It does seem like too much too soon but I also think some guys just peak early, it'd be great if they could all be prime until 35+ but a lot of guys who reach world level at a young age aren't as good a decade later so if he feels ready and his trainer believes he is then let's go. I would've liked Tank-Berchelt first as a last development/major test fight in an ideal world but that's boxing.

I like Tank and dislike Floyd so am looking for any reason to support GD in whatever their disagreements are but I just don't see it. Floyd has done right by him as far I can see. Davis wanted the Loma fight and is pissed Floyd wanted to leave it for the future? But then he also feels Floyd forced him into the Pedraza fight?

I'm meaning after Cuelllar. He signed with Floyd in Nov. 2015-ish. I suspect the contract doesn't end til sometime around the same time in Nov. 2018.

fight wont happen. even though tank was a world champ and only has 2 less fights than joshua (who they want to fight a 40-0 fighter), hes not ready to take on lomachenko (10-1). its just unfair for a fighter to risk there 0 under any circumstance

Could be that Floyd advised him not to fight Loma and Tank refused to accept it and said he'd only re-sign with Floyd if he gets the Loma fight made as part of the deal.

Gotta be honest, I have no interest in this fight yet. Davis is just an immature kid and Lomo has bigger and better options possibly in Pac and Garcia and who knows he may lose to Linares anyways.

This fight seems like it should be at least a year or 2 away from happening to me.

That's what I was gonna say too. Loma's chin will certainly be tested. Will it hold? Not sure. We'll see.
no it won't, tank won't catch loma decently, will be a nomas and schooling at that

I hope so, it's an exciting fight. People say Tank isn't ready but by my reckoning he's already top 3 at 130 or 135. If he loses it's no big deal, he can bounce back. It might even make him a better fighter, like the Salido loss did for Loma

                    Salido caught him plenty.
