My personal vote goes to Tony Weeks because of big fight experience and overall reliability.

I'm asking for modern/current referees, but feel free to mention any historical 3rd men.

Smoger is my favorite. Fighters know they are going to have to handle their shyt because he's not going to be pampering and intervening. Magical how they used to work their way out of clinches when Smoger was ref.
