so, Lara has offered to fight Golovkin..... AGAIN..... ?

wow..... Gennady might actually fight Lara this time..... what with his other options seemingly exhausted..... ???

I am sure that Golovkin is giving that offer some serious thought as we speak

      poor Spike.....

there is no chance whatsoever that Golovkin will select him now..... not with sooooo many more suitable opponents lining up for a crack at the champ

it would take a miracle for Spike to land that fight now

      A MIRACLE, I tell ya !!

      right, Golovkin fans..... ?

With Canelo out of the picture, what is the likelihood that GGG will actually fight someone with a pulse...IN his weight class?

        Jarmall, Andrade,Jacobs. Take your pick.

THEY ARE ALL WAITING FOR THE CALL!!!

        BOXING deserves it.

Hopefully the network does not entertain any mismatch with a predictable outcome.

Fight a live body or go home.

Does not have to be complicated.

September fight preference is, in order:

          1) Canelo (money)
          2) Saunders (belts)

Having Charlo and company in the running probably makes Saunders more likely to happen as he will know he isn't the only game in town, so he can't price himself out of it.

No-one will strip Golovkin if its Canelo (and give up their sanctioning fees ?), and unlikely anyone moves to stripping him if its Saunders given the unification etc. But mandos likely to kick in after (unless Golovkin Canelo III).

Just a gut feel, but some fights that will never happen no matter what:

          1) Canelo v Saunders
          2) Lara vs Golovkin (or Lara rematch Canelo)

Who will be considered "older" in that fight??? And did Lara wait until GGG aged to fight him??? I mean 3 months in GGG time equals what??? Like 3 years in real time???

I mean fighting all those cans takes a lot out of you. You try crushing cans all day! Sht harder then it looks!!!

But it IS complicated lol. 4 weeks notice (now), terms got to be agreed, approvals got. Even if it is the likes of Andrade, he hasn't had enough time to properly prepare for the fight. Ideally they would just cancel the May 5 fight and switch to June for Saunders, then at least no excuses either side as they would both have had adequate preparation.

So wasn't Loeffler supposed to file his 'list' of proposed oppo to the NSAC today ? How long does the NSAC usually take to approve a fight ?

edit: unless you're talking Sept, then its back to Canelo/Saunders right ?

You cant even read the article, Shields said his fighters are not ready to step in on May 5th, they wanna fight in September.

You just exposed yourself as a total ****** and hater.

Lol how the hell would they be ready after just having a fight...in Charlo's case two weeks before...lol this is just Shields 1) trying to get attention for his fighters and 2) letting people know Charlo doesn't really want that fight right now, which is fine. He has time

'Given that Triple G has been training for the right-handed Canelo, Charlo is the more likely candidate, Shields said.

“Golovkin wouldn’t take a southpaw right now but Jermall is perfect because Canelo’s a right hander and Jermall’s a right hander,” Shields said.'

That's what made it seem like Shields meant May. Why wouldn't he take a southpaw if he had a full camp for it? Makes no sense. Odd comment.
