The British super-middleweight bids to win back the IBF title in a rematch with Caleb Truax in the city where fortunes are won and lost. But the Londoner insists he was never going to gamble by dumping trainer Jim McDonnell, who has been by his side since he turned pro after winning gold at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

                  I don't normally have any time for Degale but I like his loyalty to Jimmy Mac who is a good trainer and he could have easily blamed him as many would.He's honest enough to tell it like it is here. Didn't want a late a late Vegas fight tonight but may have to. Might just be a good un.

                                  Indeed I just did it. Not "all" my money, though.. But I, just like you, think that if a fighter is already envisioning retirement, it's usually a signal for something seriously broken inside.

                                  I hope Truax has doubled his homework!
