I'd rather see Joshua vs Povetkin first before Povetkin gets too old. A lot of newbies don't seem to realise what Povetkin has achieved. His cv is littered with wins over former world and unified champs. Wilder has 2 impressive wins. Stiverne 1 and the recent Ortiz one. Wilder hasn't particularly done much with his paper belt. At least when Povetkin had his paper belt he was making mouth watering risky fights against the like of prime Marco Huck.
Wilder isn't really part of our discussion so I won't respond to the Povetkin part.

Povetkin past wins certainly should garner him respect. However, PED use and C level comp since being busted hasn't helped his rep.

That's exactly it. Part of me is saying that Povetkin will be AJ's best competition, but the other part of me has no clue what to even expect from Povetkin. So I don't even know if this is going to be a 50/50 barn burner, or AJ just beating the **** out of a gassed, old fat man who hasn't had a credible win in a couple years and has been busted for PED's three(?) times.

Meldonium and Ostarine are the reasons why your boy cowarded out against Wilder.

It's the latter. Anything to avoid Wilder.

You hit it dead on. Headvetkin is done. That's why Joshua will choose him over Wilder.

and the WBA will jump at it over a unification, I'm sure.

The fight is probably already made.

I'll tell you now that Kubrat Pulev vs Anthony Joshua is more of a 'super fight' than Povetkin vs Joshua. Since that fight is far closer to 50/50.

And I think you're being far too generous here to Povetkin. I don't even think he has 5% of a chance at winning. This is a disgusting / gruesome / horror like mismatch in favour of Anthony Joshua and against Alexander Povetkin. Povetkin likely gets slaughtered like an animal like in a slaughterhouse or from a horror movie. Or he gets squashed like a little bug / insect / g****. This bout is one of the biggest mismatches in boxing history. Not even close to a 'super fight'! Rather, an astronomical mismatch it is.
I had mayweather pac man 80/20 and that was being generous
