I go back and forth with this one. It’s a real pick ‘em to me, but I like Hurd by close decision or late TKO. Why? Because I’d rather see Charlo-Hurd

But on a serious note, Lara’s style can be hard for a judge to score in favor of round after round (for a number of reasons). I think he controls the action early on, but Hurd’s steady pressure slows him down and we get a firefight at the end. In order for Lara to win clearly, he has to hurt Hurd. Maybe he can — I’ve been wrong before.

    You?
Yeah but I work on Saturday.

I got Lara by wide decision. People will probably say Lara is running in later rounds when he sees that he has the fight in the bag.

PBC is just a television series, not a promotional outfit correct?

Hurd actually talked about his gameplan on Chris Mannix's show yesterday. Says a lot of guys think they're smart to not just rush in, but taking your foot off the gas plays right into Lara's hands of controlling the pace of the fight.

He claimed he plans to pressure, pressure, pressure.

Correct but once you with them you don't really need a promoter like that because they highlight you too.

I can totally see that happening. Angulo was able to get to Lara though — how do you think he was able to do that and what is Hurd missing?

I forgot about that, Lara was down a few times. Thanks.

Hurd just walks in and swing. In the Harrison and Trout fight, those guys were easily winning until they got tired. Lara is always on his bike so I expect him to win easily.

What about the other two fights? Who you got?

He does, man. It’s weird because he didn’t fight like that before the Harrison fight. Like a different fighter from Galarza.

I don’t know what to make of DeGale. If he performs 15% better than what he did last fight, he should win. But maybe he’s done. He almost sounds in denial.

I love the Williams-Gallimore fight. I think J-Rock is a shell of himself since Charlo. But Gallimore is a lot better talking than he is fighting. He’ll be dangerous early, but if he lets Williams find a groove, he may be in trouble late.

                  Thoughts?

Btw are you gonna be able to watch the fights at all?

I got DeGale by close decision. He should realize he needs to do more and will.

J-Pebbles and Gallimore. I am not fully sure. I believe J-Rock can outbox Gallimore if he can withstand Gallimore's power but I am going with Gallimore by Mid or Late KO.

If I find a good stream, I will be able to watch. I get off work before fight time.

Should be a good night of action — hope you catch it.
