    Who Promotes Hurd?

Who's promoting Hurd and if possible, who is managing him?

Trying to do some homework for the Pick 'Em this weekend.

I saw something that he's with Haymon, no word on promotion yet. Not sure he's still with Haymon, but ring.com has that listed.

yeah, I picked Lara and for some reason that's the only one of the three that I keep thinking of going back to.

I want to pick him too, but sometimes Lara just doesn't show up. My thoughts, this could be an out with the old in with the new type of affair. If Top Rank had Hurd and this was a Top Rank event I would pick Hurd because all he would need is to get to the cards. Haymon is a bit shiesty too, judges are controlled a lot with his fighters.

One can definitely argue Lara is undefeated. I loved Williams but he lost to Lara, God save me. I can't remember the Canelo fight atm. Not sure if my memory serves correct, but Molina could have beaten him on that draw.

This is a big title fight. Lara has the WBA and the IBO, Hurd has the IBF. Three titles on the line which is significent. Charlo has the WBC so whoever wins is fighting Charlo for the kitty. Does Lara vs Charlo or Hurd vs Charlo make more money, that's the question.

The powers at be, does it make cents to have a 34 year-old Lara with 2 losses* that is boring to most people with 3 belts in his possession? Or does it make cents to have an undefeated 27 year old fighter who's trying to hurt you every chance he gets to have those belts?

In a perfect world, if someone put a gun to my head and said pick one or else, I would say Lara. But this is Boxing and corruption is rampant so they could easily take it from Lara like they did with Paul Williams and keep on truckin'.

            I don’t think he has a promoter.

                  Happy TGIF, man.

I go back and forth with this one. It’s a real pick ‘em to me, but I like Hurd by close decision or late TKO. Why? Because I’d rather see Charlo-Hurd

But on a serious note, Lara’s style can be hard for a judge to score in favor of round after round (for a number of reasons). I think he controls the action early on, but Hurd’s steady pressure slows him down and we get a firefight at the end. In order for Lara to win clearly, he has to hurt Hurd. Maybe he can — I’ve been wrong before.

                  You?
