I doubt AJ's next fight will be with Wilder. I hope I am wrong because I want AJ to fight Wilder next. Wilder is AJ's biggest money fight but AJ makes huge money no matter who he fights. Wilder drives a hard bargain and makes demands. Povetkin will be thrilled to fight AJ and won't make demands. He will take any reasonable offer to fight AJ in the UK. That's why I think AJ will fight Povetkin next.

Eddie will have him fight Hercules rather than fight me. Then Godzilla after that.

If I was his mandatory he probly try to pay me millions in step-aside money.

But that aint work. We got him backed into corner and his time running out fast.

Hearn wants to squeeze in at LEAST one more fight before he lets AJ get in the ring with D.Wilder.

This could go a few ways.

Either they honour the mandatory and get the inbetween fight that Hearn clearly wants. They can do this whilst claiming that they where cornered by a mandatory they’ll come off looking ok with that to a degree; that will pass with a lot of fans.

OR they could drop the belt and fight someone else, like Whyte or Miller or whoever, claiming that they have a set path and won’t be knocked off it by mandatories or whatever. This would be f’king shocking and would not fly at all, but hey, stranger things happen in boxing.

OR, just get it done with and face Wilder now seeing that there is pressure to make a move from a sanctioning body, as there will be more of the same the more time passes after all...Unifications take the front seat when it comes to the whole ‘mandatory or unify’ toss up so this would be the ideal play out. Probably won’t happen though.

I suspect Hearn will soon claim that he/they’ve been forced into a corner to face Povetkin. Now that U.K. casuals see Povetkin as some killer KO guy after his Price win, he’ll be able to sell it to them. At the end of the day a mandatory is a mandatory, I fully understand that, but come on. We all know which fight needs to happen and it should top any list.

what's sad is I thought that was a legit quote at first...

in the off chance that AJ does drop the red belt, then what happens to it? Alex Povetkin vs Fres Oquendo? (How the **** is Oquendo #2 in the WBA?) or does Charr get promoted to Super champ?

The problem is that a huge portion of the UK fanbase seems to be enabling him.

yeah, there seems to be a generation of younger fans who trust Promoters for some reason...
