He’s had a solid world-level career. We all know that Olympic medals don’t necessarily translate to pro success and I think he’s made the most of what he’s got. Taken on plenty of tough fights, especially away from home. The Groves loss looks better with hindsight than it did at the time, though he needs to avenge his Truax defeat in a Lewis vs. McCall/Rahman manner.

    Boring af personality though.

Ps. Anyone who thinks he lost to Jack doesn’t have a clue how to score fights. JDG was comfortably 5-1 +a knockdown up through 6. Jack came on very strong in the second half of the fight, but he didn’t win all 6 IMHO. I had it 113-113.

No you’re not wrong. He’s been gifted more than once in the ring. B level with type A personality but that’s it.

Once in the ring, he seems to at times to let things go.

bit early to write him off though? This is 2018 not 1918, early 30s is not past it. The outstanding weakness is his decision to coast through rounds, switching off even when hes not hurt. Is he not fully fit? Whats that about?

Hes obviously a world class boxer, with gold at amateur and title opposition at a consistencyl guys like calzaghe would only dream of when he wasnt running away from them.

Maybe its having such a minging mum lol. If that was my mum I woudnt let her on tv.
You believe Degale fought and beat better fighters than what Calzaghe beat at SMW?

Hang yourself. It's the only option for a moron like yourself.

You were a huge fan but refer to him as a bum?

Yeah, sure you were a fan.

Calzaghe beat Reid 8 to 4. There was nothing disputable about it.

The only reason you think that is probably down to the **** judge who scored it to Reid.

              Oh, there's a surprise.

It's funny you call the Brits garbage fans but **** all over British fighters all the time.

You are just like all the other scum Americans that exist on every forum. YOU, and others like you are the problem.

yep spot on with your scoring. time and time again on here people dont seem to realise you score a fight on a round by round basis, and you dont win bonus points for ending a fight strong as opposed to starting it strong. fact is i think most posters dont actually score the fight as they watch it, they then make up a scorecard at the end. i had it a draw cause degale won most the early rounds.

I don’t think he’s necessarily over rated. But I believe he may have a lot of miles on that body, overlooked Truax, but also should have taken more time after surgery. Face it, Jack really won their fight, with that said, Jack was a effin monster! We shall see come Saturday. If he loses to Truax again, I will humbly eat the crow feathers. Won’t be the first time
