It's like having a money printing license. Hurd is not good enough for this job.
Thinking about betting big on Lara... thoughts?

Lara is a better lefty than Trout, he beat him for a reason.
But I dunno if he has the workrate and power to keep Hurd at bay.
Hurd is a "lightheavy sized" junior middle fighting like a novice lol, so there is a factor that he can only get better, lot of room to improve, kinda like D Wilder.Comment

Boxing is the worst sport to bet on, I’ve seen many times a fighter gets whooped on but somehow wins the fight. With that being said the favorite is Lara which helps and there would be major drama surrounding a Lara/charlo fight so if I could I’d put $ on LaraComment

Lara is among my favorite guys, but I'm staying away from this one. To be clear I do think he wins. I think Hurd is a live as f#ck dog here, but is unproven vs a guy even close to Lara's level. He's a big f#cker doe, he's got the heart & drive to wanna be the best & Lara has been on that Adonis Stevenson diet lately which I believe leaves a guy unprepared for the legit serious threat when he comes up.
The real question is Hurd a legit threat? I say no, but I see plenty of people saying yes & that gives me some doubt on my own call here cuz I don't think Lara's been sharpening his iron lately. He's just been collecting nice lil paydays.Comment

Lara is the favorite on every betting site. If you want to be "brave" bet on a KO win for Lara. Lara is obviously not a KO artist but this is the type of opponent where Lara can score a stoppage.Comment

Tony Harrison and No Doubt Trout were both faster and more skilled boxers than Hurd, but neither one could keep him off them the whole fight and both succombed to his size and power eventually.
Lara is definitely more skilled and slick than those two, but the storyline has played out twice already! It does seem like the more likely outcome is for Lara to eek out a decision though.Comment

If Lara were an underdog here then maybe yes but this fight is a 50/50 proposition. This quote from him saying that if Hurd comes at him like Angulo he'd ruin his career too, seemed like a plea more than a warning. I think if Hurd comes at Lara like Angulo did, Lara is in trouble. When Angulo's eye socket broke, it was Angulo who was up on the cards.Comment

you could prop your bets.
the most likely outcome in my opinion is a Lara UD. but that depends on hurds ability to pin Lara down on the ropes. the second most likely would be a late KO for hurd.
we have good footage of how lara handled aggressive guys in 2 fights.
angulu: in this fight he allowed Angulo to move him to the ropes and his first instinct was to cover up with a guard and let angulo touch him up. didn't clinch much and didn't slip punches on the ropes all too often.
canelo: here his first aim was to never stand still and always hit and move. canelo bar 2-3 occasions wasn't able to pin Lara down. But canelo isn't a frontfoot fighter who forces the action. he prefers to stay at midrange and counter and is comfortable on the ropes and slip and counter his opponent. canelo also has very slow feet and doesn't close the distance quick enough.
so if Lara can't get away from Hurd for the whole fight he is in for a tough fight.Comment
