Because he doesn’t want an opponent that could possibly beat him and destroy the Camelo rematch, where the money is.

Derevy just fought last month. Not only that, but he doesn't have to fight GGG on short notice, because long as Derevy holds the #1 spot on the IBF, he's almost guaranteed a title shot, unless GGG wants to be stripped. Besides, fighting GGG on short notice would be a pretty big risk, for a guy with 12 fights, and let's not act like he's another Loma or anything.

In a ppv fight that will almost certainly lose money, how much more do you think Andrade will want to be paid?

being that it's short notice. he can't expect to much money.

300k should get the job done

andrade needs to take any deal, fight, win and the world is his

Andrade is interesting but what are the chances of getting a deal done with HIM on such short notice?

Derevyanchenko is a mandatory and will probably give us the best action fight of all the possibilities. His team said they would be interested in being the replacement.

Might as well get the mandatory out of the way...cmon Loeffler, make this fight happen

Yes, all good points and the reality is that noone Golovkin can get for 5th May is going to make for PPV bout, so the question remains . . . . . why not Derevyanchenko?! Golovkin's team have been quiet on this.

Derevyanchenko has said he'll take the fight at short notice and, with having fought recently, should be in shape.

So that doesn't address why Golovkin's team don't seem to want this fight.
