Sad times. I used to be a fan of Keith "One time" and "You better dont duck me, son!" Thurman, but after he took that bodyshot from Collazo he changed as a fighter.. he got lucky vs both Garcia and Porter and got 2 very close wins, then went on to marry his wife and now he is done at the top level, his hunger is gone, he is already defeated. He will never beat an elite fighter again.

These PBC fighters need to change course.
There's something in this stable that makes them lose their hunger.
Thurman is their biggest star, and the rest can't even reach that level.
The Charlo sisters are still undercards to everyone's card.
How many years do they have to spend at PBC to reach Canelo level?

They are all wimps, Porter included.. Spence is ready and waiting and he has a title.

And what's Porter gonna do in the rematch?! ....that telegraphic bouncin' shuffle footwork that Kieth can see pressing him from a mile away, as he comes in with the jabs, uppercuts, and straight rights also thrown from a mile away!!? (Closing the distance is something Porter can learn from a young Mike Tyson). Then is Thurman gonna need a **** kit for the intense humping and billy goat head press from Porter?......and why isnt he calling out Spence - doesnt he have a belt also? Porters career is on pause because of Kieth?!?. Isnt that a bit hypocritical to critisize Thurman when you DECIDE to stop your career because of him?!

But at the same time, does Thurman get to hold the belts hostage because his body cant hold up? If life goes on, as it should, then there needs to be new protocol for situations like this. Maybe injured champs need to be stripped of their titles after a year and a half to 2yrs "if" theyre unable to be physically capable of fighting their mandatories....then when they heal they should be able to get a 1st dibb crack at the current champ. Idk, but Thurman and this "easy enough" search doesnt bode well for boxing & his rep when he's been out for so long looking for some type of sympathy foe..........A HEALTHY Thurman beats Wildman Porter and In Denial (not accepting his loss to Thurman) Garcia again.

I will say this though, not all surgeries go the same and not all surgeons are cut from the same cloth. Not all body parts respond to surgeries the same. You could do your left elbow and be good in 4 months, do the right and be good in 6 or 7. Ask any professional in the industry and they'll say the same exact thing.

I just want to cover my bases cuz Thurman could come out tomorrow and say his elbow is still a bit stiff or something and totally be legit.

I saw the Nepal thing, guessing that was before the surgery?
I totally understand all of your points. It's just his track record with postponing fights that has me doubting his moves here.

Not sure about the Nepal timeline tbh. Still pissed me off a bit lol

I got a feeling Thurman’s next excuse for time off will be; his wife is pregnant and he wants to see his 1st born start kindergarten

You are 100% right. He had 2 really close hard fights that I'm not sure he even won. He hasn't looked nearly as good in those fights. He's clearly not the best fighter in his division now. He's vulnerable emotionally and physically now and he knows it. He has lost the desire to fight and knows he can't hang with the best of them anymore. If he gets in with any other of the top guys, he will get dominated and I can see him quitting in the ring. He doesn't want it and he won't be able to handle it. He's done as an elite fighter, that if he ever really was 1.
