No he doesn't... He's unified champion. He should be defending his belts against the best possible contender. Thurman talks like he's Floyd but has yet to achieve that status when Floyd was able to call the shots. Floyd injured his shoulder in the Castillo fight and came back a few months later and fought Castillo again. Took 2 years off and fights Marquez. Floyd was be crucified for taking a tune up in his last fight of his career but Thurman and other fighters get a pass for taking tune ups?

I agree that Thurman should not get a pass if he does have a tune-up it needs to happen very soon so he can give his mandos the shots they deserve.
