The Tyson that was fast, defensively aggressive, ‘peaking’, and just an out and out calculated wrecking ball; makes Joshua look big, stiff and slow/lumbering in comparison.

Tyson also showed a better chin too, took a long time to see him rocked/stunned. We’ve seen Joshua badly hurt and wobbled by shots that where a fraction of what a young Tyson could impose.

Height and weight advantages meant literally nothing to young Tyson’s results either, he was coming for you from an extremely talented and unique defensive base getting inside whilst being in position to land a shot with every movement.

Tyson knocks him out and doesn’t really struggle in doing so.

At the same stage of their careers I think Joshua would win from a technical perspective. That said, much alike w fight with Wilder a if he gets clipped there is potential for it to be over.

Obviously Tyson carried on and made a name for him naked over more than double the amount of fights. We don’t know what Joshua will do yet. Or for that matter the likes of Whyte or Parker who could well carve out decent careers themselves and people may look back at Joshua’s recent wins in a whole different light

Hummmm? Someone brought up Bruno, thats a pretty good analogy actually. Joshua has the problem that Mike at prime was better than anyone he faced. With Vlad they fought at similar distances and at a somewhat measured pace. With Mike it is going to be a matter of imposing wills on the other man.

A perfect example of this situation is Lewis against Shannon Briggs. At the time Briggs was considered pretty damn good. Some maintain he even caught Lewis good with a few choice shots, there was a back and fourth... But Lewis started to impose himself and that was it. Joshua is still young enough that the ring gets very small being chased around.

Joshua does have a decent uppercut and he could catch Mike but with his head movement and constant attack I think Mike overwhelms Joshua. Give Joshua a bit more time and things may be different.

            This right here.

So, you're basically saying that Wilder beats Tyson.

AJ by KO. At 21-0 Tyson was fresh off going the distance vs Mitch Green, jumping from Green to AJ is WAY too big a jump.

AJ not only has a better resume he's been in with some BIG punchers like Wlad, Whyte, Brezeale, even Molina hits hard.

According to compubox (I know it's not 100% accurate) vs Green Tyson landed 60% of his punches and could not put him away. Green himself landed 40% of his punches.

Green was a part time boxer getting paid a mere $30k for their fight. Green would get KO'd the very next fight by a guy nobody heard of.

I do not think Green possesses anything that puts him in the same league as AJ. I mean it doesn't get much worse than a journeyman from the past, these athletes didn't know much about nutrition, they were smoking cigarettes, drinking beer, eating cheeseburgers etc. while working a day time job.

You all seen how bad he struggled with Parker who doesn't have that KO power plus AJ looks pretty crappy on the inside action.

Bruno was pretty small and had already been stopped 2x, Bruno was a big guy in his era but he's actually the same size as Bryant Jennings. AJ would make him look very small in comparison. Bruno did manage to rock Tyson too. By the time Bruno beefed up and had his rematch he was already done as a fighter.

Tyson quickly. I have to see Joshua weather another storm before I pick him against the best of Tyson.
