Nope. Sure Wilder was hurt, but he wasn't out of it, he wasn't down, or disoriented. When the round finished and the bell rang, Wilder shaked his head and walked to his own corner without assistance, knowing well where it was.

          Check this out...

Some of you guys are a moth to a flame when it comes to punchers.
Wilder can't make a fight when the other fighter, Joshua won't fight him under any circumstances. Joshua is all mouth no balls

Not only that, but at what point has he ducked the fight exactly? Shelly Finkel today, 'We are ready, tell us what to do?'

This is what passes for a manager nowadays, talk about the opposite of proactive! Wilder needs a ***ing promoter, bad!

Lastly - and ask yourselves this, what if that right hand doesn't land the right way for Wilder? What happens then? Historically how often does that jackpot punch land in these scenarios? It's always possible, but I wouldn't bet on it, 9 times out of 10 always go with the superior skills, technique, and boxing abilty.

Wilder is just another Boogeyman who, more than likely will get dealt with, and after people will jump off the bus as quick as they got on, and then they will try to create the next one. The price of success.
Yeah, well he's not just some come lately punching meathead, he's athletic and has two things AJ doesn't have:

              1. Stamina
              2. Chin - yeah he goes down, but his legs are stable and ready

His boxing skills surface against tough opponents, you can almost see flashes of brilliance. I'm telling you Wilder has it all: personality, power and ferocity.

AJ nearly shat his pants against Wlad and needed two rounds to recover. Wilder took 70 seconds to put Ortiz down. Wlad's punch might put Wilder down but he springs back up like a wounded animal and takes Wilder out.

Also, Wilder isn't affected by knockdowns in future fights and is as strong mentally as he was in his first pro fight. AJ on the other hand is shook and has lost some of his confidence, that's why he fought like a wimp against Parker.

I honestly didn't think Wilder would be able to beat Ortiz, a great boxer with power, so him winning that, proved to me that the kid can hang with top comp.
