Comments Thread For: Truax: DeGale is Looking Past Me Again; Loss Didn't Humble Him

Caleb Truax can't quite believe James DeGale is doing it again. The newly crowned IBF super middleweight champion figured DeGale would've learned an invaluable lesson by overlooking him entering their first fight. Truax senses DeGale still doesn't respect him, which Truax expects to work to his advantage again in their rematch Saturday night in Las Vegas.

DeGale is showing a two-faced frame of mind in interviews. He told Boxing News that even if he wins via a hard fight - and not with ease - he will consider retiring.

This is all I need to hear to place some money on Truax at 3.80.

If he loses this time it's a wrap.

This fight could play out like the Sor Rungsivai and Roman Gonzalez rematch. I believe Truax has even more confidence going into the rematch.

Boxing fan from MN here. Pulling for a Truax victory obviously, hopefully via knockout if he can catch him and hurt him again. Might have to even throw $100 on him considering underdog odds again.

DeGale doesn't have anywhere to go if he loses again.

Losing to a middleweight gatekeeper twice would show he's done.

I doubt he wants to become the faded vet being used as a name on up and comers records.

I actually think Truax is getting knocked out. It was so evidently an off nite for DeGale and he definitely overlooked him.

I’m British but can’t stand the sight of degayle.
However, he does have boxing skill undeveloped at elite level because of two things.
                  1. His mouth.
                  2. The domestic trainer he has and that also has a large mouth.
It’s too late to try new stuff now I think but had he been with a premier trainer? Who knows.
But in the eyes of a fellow Englishman he’s a wanker.

used to be a fan of chunky, but he hasn't given fans much to root for the past few years with his uninspiring performances.

wouldn't be surprised if Truax stopped him
