This is almost worst than Hopkins vs Hakkar.

GGG needs to stop listening to Loeffler.

If you can only fight a can, then cancel and get a BJS or Andrade in june.
Hindsight is 20/20, but I wish GGG left Loeffler 5 years ago. And Abel for that matter overtraining him in altitude where the muscles can't fully repair their fibers as you age due to lack of oxygen in the air, which is probably what has caused GGG to lose all the fast twitch muscle fibers and snap off his punches.

One of the most promising careers in decades completely ruined by greedy promoters, ducking opponents, and corruption. **** boxing!

      April 5, 2018:

While Munguia is an undefeated fighter, he’s not a 160-pounder and hasn’t fought anyone near the caliber of Golovkin. In fact he’s only fought outside of Mexico once, knocking out Paul Valenzuela Jr. late last year at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Golovkin’s fight is still being slated for HBO PPV, but quite frankly it’s difficult to envision any scenario where this fight would do any kind of traffic in terms of sales. I’d imagine this would be Golvokin’s lowest PPV by a considerable margin — and that’s considering Golovkin-Lemieux and Golovkin-Jacobs only did 150K and 170k buys respectively on PPV.

HBO should be ashamed of themselves, if they sell this as a PPV fight!

Are Mexican fans really this ****** to buy this $70 Mexican Style (GGG fights more like Errol Spence) cherry picking unproven prospect match up?

Yes he's not proven at 160, but neither was Brook, and he gave old GGG a good go for awhile. At least it's a blue chip talent. GGG is fighting a top talent, just not a proven middleweight. That's way more exciting to me than him fighting a proven middleweight like Spike Sullivan but who is nowhere near a top talent.
Steve Kim... You disappoint me. No.. You disgust me.

What in the holy fck. You're really comparing an unknown Munguia to 2013 Canelo Alvarez.

          BRUH!

GBP and Loeffler are worried a tough fight could cause an injury or who knows, even a loss, that would ruin the big money they want to make with the Canelo fight. That means as long as GGG and Canelo continues to be a thing, GGG isn't allowed to fight anyone. Career on hold at age 36. It's a complete joke but you can't blame GGG. It's GBP and Loeffler. All they care about is money and they are willing to sacrifice GGG's legacy for it.

Another factor that deserves blame is Canelo ducking GGG until GGG got old. In GGG's prime he had no injury issues, and there was zero chance of him losing to the likes of Andrade or Deryvanchenko. They would have made those fights as tuneups with zero worries about ruining the Canelo rematch. But now that Canelo waited until GGG is so old and is rumored to even has knee problems now, they have to be super careful with how they match him, apparently.

Remember how GBP wouldn't even let GGG fight AT ALL before the first Canelo fight when he wanted to fight in June against Saunders before fighting Canelo in September, but Eric Gomez said GGG couldn't do it because it was too much risk?

It's a complete joke. Boxing is a corrupt joke. GBP and Tom Loeffler only care about money, and they have ruined GGG's career as a result. I'm not defending their bullsht at all, just telling you what their real reason is. GGG is not scared of Andrade, but with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line for GGG-Canelo II in September now, either GBP, or GBP together with Loeffler, are unwilling to take even a 1% risk of losing that money. And GGG's career goes down the toilet as a result. But like I said, they don't care. Loeffler is a politician he talks a good game but his true colors have shown the last few years.
So now Canelo and GBP are in charge of G-string's career?

He needs to grow a set of balls or get a new management team if his career is predicated on what Canelo's going to do next.

It's not like Canelo is holding a belt hostage and G-string is desperate to get it.

Ive never seen Munguia fight, but I've been told he's the top Mexican prospect in the sport and expected to be the next top Mexican fighter. 24 kos in 28 fights, undefeated. I heard he is blue chip on the Canelo level. If I was informed wrong, then I take it back, of course. I've never seen him fight so I can only comment based on what I've heard.

And stop calling me Steve Kim. I think he's been exposed as a hack who only pretends to speak against corruption, but really plays the game like the rest of the mainstream press, just in a more clever way.

                      Eh whatever fight.

Will probably be a good one with blood and guts, but just not PPV worthy for namesake.

I would shed some cash for Andrade though, just to see at what level Golovkin is performing at middleweight.
