AJ won but he didn't exactly look dominant passed the early rounds. He looked very vulnerable in the mid rounds. I also felt Fury would provide an interesting challenge to Klit. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine he'd give Klitchko a boxing lesson and snap his HW dominance with a clear boxing lesson. He beat Wlad, no controversy. In a way I agree its a long road for most people. Tyson, on the other hand, isn't your average bloke. He is the Gypsy King. That carries a lot of weight. You might not fully comprehend it. He is indeed the true essence of the wild card of the division. The raging bull. That blinking light that flickers but when its on IT SHINES BRIGHTER THAN ANYONES POTENTIAL. Foolish to rush back to a Joshua fight when your THAT GUY. Thats not hype its real. That skill to completely school and rip away Wlad's belts wasn't learned overnight and wasn't lost over a few long night of doing blow off some sexy stripper ****. That skill and know how returns. Trust me it isn't easy to erase it all away. Even a Tyson that never gets back to what he was is an elite HW. Its foolish to fight the best though before he returns to rare form or atleast is in that ballpark of his former self. He is a threat that can't be overlooked.

Aj indeed after 4 rounds didn't look very dominant. He seemed to lack that fire but I also felt that he was not in danger of losing like say GGG was vs Jacobs.AJ won but he didn't exactly look dominant passed the early rounds. I have massive respect for Fury. He's not the biggest puncher but has subtle feints and movements that makes you think/ react or prevents you from going all in. I recall his early days and also his KD vs Cunningham. He did mess about a bit too much in that fight though!Comment

I’m glad to see you say ‘as usual’, I’m sick of all the posts from others that make out we’re in new territory, let’s be honest this is the most exciting it’s been since early 90s.I don't think that is the case. They are both flawed but who out there can actually beat them?
Perhaps Tyson Fury can negate their attacks but can he win?
The division is in a bad stake as usual. Look at how most aren't even in shape. Then again I do feel that the past HW's were more likely to have been on PED's anywayComment

This is another must see like Mayweather/Pac. The great thing about these two heavies is that theyre both in their primes with surpreme conditioning and supreme KO power. Wilder wants it more, but AJ seems to be catching up with the fervor and confidence level as he convinces himself that 4 belts & 21 fights must mean a whole lot more than he's probably led to believe........
AJ knows more importantly he'll also have to match Wilder mentally to stand a chance at winning this thing.....but with all this early museum talk in honor of himself he could already be in a dangerous overconfident state of mind which can hurt him in the long run. That confident even keeled passion where he needs to be is probably void......
The physical hard work & dedication takes care of itself....so mustering the desire to kick Wilders butt if its not there is doable, while the over-confident "spark" talk may work against him. Thinking that Wilder is some skinny bean pole that can easily be bullied & manhandled is dumb......If Team-Hearn is actually convinced (like they said) that Parker is better than Wilder, then there in for a rude awakening

I agree that it's exciting though. Wilder and AJ are big and in shape and that sells. They have power that can stun people which adds to the nuances in a fight.
Wilder vs Ortiz was pretty good and AJ VS Wlad was a great fight.Comment

It’s a good post, I agree with your final appraisal. Unfortunately I don’t think we’re ever seeing the Fury that had his best night ever against Wlad, it all came together that day, he peaked and too much has happened since then for him to recapture that IMO.Parker is a good boxer. However he didn't do nearly enough to win convincingly other than maybe 2 rounds. IMO if the ref let it continue, I saw AJ also throw punches with his right hand and he looked down to fight like that also. Parker is known for a solid chin and I don't think AJ came there to try and blast him out. He used a jab effectively and controlled most of the rounds.
Some were close because not much happened, but I still felt AJ won them.
I actually did say to a friend that Wlad is old and Fury is big so you never know. I do feel Fury has a good chance if he gets back into it, but at the same time also feel that it's a long road for him.
Anything can happen at HW as we all know, but AJ and Wilder are ahead for my interpretation. It's just my opinion.
I agree with what you said on AJ, I believe he intentionally boxed to win over 12 rounds and the biggest test was too his concentration, which was best evidenced in this fight compared to his previous.Comment

I don’t think it has gotten too much for AJ, but there is a surgical air about him, I wasn’t surprised to hear he’s been getting advice from Wlad.

Not often credited is that AJ has been extremely well managed, could not have had a better growth path to Wilder. The Parker fight was exactly what he needed to prove he can focus for 12 rounds. He’ll definitely fight Miller next to get his focus back into fighting an American style. He won’t be able to replicate the style of win over Parker when he fights Wilder, because he won’t have the reach advantage. But, something that hasn’t been mentioned at all was AJs foot speed against Parker, Parker is very quick on his feet, and he chased AJ and AJ looked very sound moving, if he maintains or even improves that the only weapon left for Wilder is the arguably bigger punch. But as we’ve seen over and over timing beats speed every time and he is going to relish exploiting Wilders boxing ill-discipline. Fascinating fightComment

Anthony Joshua (c) vs Deontay Wilder (c), T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world, last week of August 2018.
Budget out $2.5m for the undercard (a meaningful fight as the chief support, paired with major step-up fights for two top Matchroom Sport prospects), and book the event.Comment

I'm not sure I agree with the original posts sentiment.
Real boxing fans want this fight as it's a 50/50 fight at the moment.
AJ doesn't need this fight and his fanbase don't care about the fight. Most of his fans are not boxing fans they are Joshua fans and Hearn can keep convincing them that every fight is a stadium and PPV event.
Wilder needs AJ. He has nobody else out there he can make big money against.
Playing devils advocate here, AJ could fight anyone and make 20 million. He could milk this for another 2 years and if Wilder loses in that time AJ will continue to make big money for all involved. The person that beats Wilder may not be as dangerous a fighter to AJ as Wilder is, he could then beat them and get the belts.
Realistically the only way I can see this fight happening this year is if Wilder signs for less than a champion should be worth.Comment
